Well you would need to pull the transmission back far enough to unbolt the plate from the crankshaft.
The plate could crack into several pieces and stop connecting the crank to the torque converter.
Remove the cover over the steering column. Then it is a simple matter of inserting a screwdriver to depress a locking tab while pulling the old ignition tumbler straight out using the key as a handle. Then just insert the new one...easy peasy!
