You need to remove the large plastic panel off the back interior of the hatch. 2 screws where the handle is and the rest are just plastic clips... Once this is removed you will see the motor assembly. About 80% of the people replace this motor, but it can be fixed. Take out the torx screws from the motor (after you taken it off the hatch) and soak the shaft the wiper sits on with penetrating oil. Work it free and put it back together, good as new. I did mine today, saved $100 from the wreckers. :) Good luck!

Rear window wiper stop working

one of two possible problems.. (trusting fuse is ok) first is that the wires in the hinge area are prone to breakage. second is that the rear wipers are subject to vast amounts of dirt/salt the shaft of the wiper can leak into the bearings and seize them solid. i would remove the plastic tailgate cover and meter the wires off the wiper and if there is power then you are looking at the motor. hope this helps

The rear wiper stopped working. I suspect that

The fuse for the rear wiper is located in the interior fuse panel on the passenger door side of the dash. It is the 3rd one down from the top in the left column (#3) and it is a 15 amp.

I have a 06 montana the rear wiper not working but it only works when i push on the arm so i check and tight the arm but it till doing the samething what could it be

Wiper shaft is stuck by rust (aluminium oxide). Remove wiper motor. Knock out wiper shaft with soft hammer. Clean shaft hole with similar size drill bit.

Are the rear wipers and rear washers wired together? On a 2006 Pontiac Montana.. My wiper doesnt work but washer does..

I would check fuse, make sure it is good. I would pull panel and make sure you are getting 12 volts to motor, if you are it could be a bad motor, I would find out what one costs from your auto parts store, then call a reliable auto center, and get a repair quote from them, Please let me know what you find.
