Sounds like the sway bar end link but it win't make the car vibrate. The links can be bought one at a time but the one on the other side will look just like it and could be worn out too. The sway bar keeps the car from leaning over in turns and makes the car handle better. vibration caqn come from bad tires on down,

Your describing the sway bar link. You can buy the sway bar link kit at Auto Zone, Napa, or Parts Source and take less then 20 for you to replace both sides.
There not that expensive so buy the sway bar end line kit for both side and make sure that it has the urethane bushings.
Thank you for using fixya and be safe.
Number 29 is what your looking to replace on the illustration. http://www.compnine.com/index.php?u=1&year=1998&artnbr=MN06-029&artsfx=NULL&supplgroup=NULL&catcode=35N&modelcode=N&makecode=O&modelseries=NL&uid=1&modelid=1147577367&capuid=1&majorgroup=06&grouptype=B

I just bought a 95 olds cutlass supreme @ the sellers said it needs a back sway bar. Will that make my one tire sound like its bouncing around while driving? Or could it be a strut

sway bars just keep the car level when cornering
from your description I would be having a real close look at the tires for belt separation , bulges and missing tread, bad retreads .
the shockies could need replacing but I would consider the tires as prime suspects

Name of axle piece

You aren't giving us a lot of information but if you are referring to the part that makes an increasingly irritating whine as you drive when it starts to go bad, it would be called the axle bearing. That's the only thing that I can think of that would be associated with the axle behind the passenger tire. It sure got my attention in my 1999 Grand Caravan. When they make noise, it means the bearing is going bad / producing a lot more heat than normal. It isn't real hard to change out if you don't let it go too long. It is a complete unit including the bearing, flange and wheel studs. If it goes on too long, it will expand inside the hole that the bearing goes into then it might take a car lift, a torch and sledge hammer to get it out. It happened to me. Good luck. Jeff M.

2004 pontiac grand prix gt. humming noise while driving. Louder at 25 mph or higher. Changed front passenger side hub bearings due to when turning slightly left humming quiets. I stol have humming....

I change both wheel hub bearings when one goes

Doesn't matter what stabilizer does--- the bushings need
to be done-- so you say

Maybe you replaced the wrong drive axle

Put the front tires on the back to see what happens

I have a 1996 ford crown victoria thats reves up real high and then dies

Sounds like a really bad vacuum leak to me. Check the PCV hose where it goes in behind the throttle body. Those are notorious for the rubber elbows getting all mushy and imploding and getting large holes in them.

At low speeds the steering wheel goes left and right by itself. At highway speeds it viabrates

If it's shaking left and right and shakes faster the faster you go i wood say it's slipped belts in the front tires.Hope this helps.

When doing 65-70 mph on the highway, the steering column shakes.

Could be a bad motor mount, probably the front right. It is on the frame behind your passenger side front tire. Place a pry bar between the frame and engine block and try to lift the engine a little. You'll be able to easily see if it's bad. You can also check the upper engine mount, it's on the drivers side coming from the firewall to the top of the motor.

2002 E320. Premature tire wear on right rear wheel.

THese cars have a high speed rated tire and will almost always wear quickly. The right rear is the drive wheel (where the power goes when you give it gas) It will wear real quickly if you drive it hard. I would try rotating every 7500 miles (unless tire sizes are different as with the SL series) I sell a lot of tires on these cars and 25K is usually the limit.
