SOURCE: 2001 BMW 330i..Fan for AC/vent not working?

The problem is the ac resistor located on the passenger side of the center console. It's a little difficult to get to but not impossible. If i remember correctly it cost about 100.00$ from your BMW dealer. If you do a internet search for problems with BMW a/c you will find many post and fixes. BMW has made 3 revisions to this resistor over the past few years. If replacing this parts does not fix it then the only other cause will be the climate control module located in your climate control display. This is a very expensive part.Remove the plastic cover behind the glove box (passenger side) look toward the drivers side close to the bulkhead and it will be there, disconnect the plug, release the clip and pull back gentally (don't break the clips!) it's pretty easy.
Good Luck

SOURCE: engine misfire and some times does not start when cold

Replace the Oxygen sensor. All your trouble codes are downstream of the oxygen sensor, and are related to it.

Once you replace the oxygen sensor (replace with a BOSCH sensor!), remove the positive battery cable, step on your brakes for 10 seconds, then reattach the cable. This will clear the codes from your ECM (Electronic Control Module).

Where is the crankshaft position sensor on a 2001 BMW 330ci?

Hi, this is a common problem that happen to bmws, there sensors go bad, there are two sensors , one for intake, and one for exhaust. the intake is the most difficult, its located at the front of your engine on the left hand side (as you sit in the car looking straight ahead) of the cylinder head. its right to the right of the oil filter housing. this sensor however has a wire with a connector that strings down by the butterfly throttle, intake box and tubing, oil filter, and vvt solenoid will have to be removed in order to remove senosor, exhaust sensor is much more easy, its loacted on the front end of the cylinder head on the right side right behind the radiator, it has a connector right at the sensor, disconnect sensor and remove the one 5mm hex bolt(same on both sensors), be very careful not to strip or snap off the bolt due to aluminum head.
Take care

Sputtering BMW

this could be caused by poor gas, or intake and exhaust vanos solenoids, first try filling the tank with high test gas with low ethenol content, run through a couple of tanks, if still occuring your solenoids may be gummed up, they are located at the front of the cyl head and help in by 1 10mm screw, remove and blow clean with compressed, also be sure to change your oil more freequently than cbs indicator suggests.
