Recommended tyre pressures

NEVER use the pressure rating on the tire. That is only the recommended MAX pressure that tire can take. The only tire pressure you should follow is located on the placard either on the inside of the door under the latch, or on the door jam under the latch receiver. Using the tire pressure on the tire can result in poor performance, traction, tire blowouts, uneven tire wear, and poor gas mileage. The manufacturer factors in details the tire could never know, such as weight of the vehicle, alignment specifications, and performance of the vehicle.

What does it mean when ( ! ) pops up on my 08 dodge charger

Sounds like you have a low tire pressure warning light on.

On the inside of the drivers front door there will be a sticker that tells you the proper tire pressure for you vehicle. Check all for tires and *** air if needed.

If one tire is particularly low it may indicate that it has a leak and needs repair.

Once all the tires have been set to the proper level the vehicle will need to be driven faster than 30mph for about 10 minutes and the light should reset. If it does not there may be a problem with a sensor communicating the wrong pressure value for a particular tire.

This is from page 172 of your owners manual.

I know my 1992 dodge shadow needs a new thermostat but when it is overheating the radiator leaks from the bottom of the radiator does it have a pressure relief valve?

I dont think so, it maybe the bottom radiator tank. When the car is cold start it up for just a few seconds so the liquid can travel through the block the turn it off and look up underneath the front of the car.

I have a yellow horseshoe shape w/ an explanination mark in the middle....What is this

That is your tire pressure warning lamp. If it is solid (not flashing), you need to check your tire pressures. I believe your tires should be at 36 PSI. But to make sure, check the edge of your driver side front door on the white sticker. After you add the proper amount of air in the tires, you may need to drive the vehicle about a mile or so before the system recognizes the new pressures.

If it is flashing, you will want to take it to a shop or dealership and they will likely need to replace a tire pressure sensor.

Hope this helps!

How do you reset the tire pressure light on the dash of a 2008 dodge ram 2500?

Look on the inside of the door.It should tell you what the proper pressure is for the front and back tires.I do believe it is about 70-80 psi for that class of truck.Once you have inflated the tires to proper pressure, the light should go out on it's own.Sometimes it is necessary to drive the vehicle for awhile so the air can expand. If that does not work, have the TPMS checked by a tire distributor.

What does it mean when it says check the tpm system?

The TPM System is the Tire Pressure Monitor. Each wheel will have a tire pressure sensor that monitors the tire pressure of each wheel and send that information to a computer. If the computer is not receiving the proper information it will let you know. If the low tire light is on and not flashing than it may be something as simple as a low tire. The proper tire inflation will be inside the drivers front door on the build sticker.

If all the tire pressures are o.k. than you will need to get the TPMS scanned to see why it is not working. Chryslers are pretty common for pressure sensors to fail.

I need to know why my tmps sensor turned on after i put new tires on my car?

Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor - TPMS read all modifications that you make in the tires, also the pressure in there. Need "reset it" to turn off this signal. Visit the dealer or autoshop, only they have the proper tool.

Hope helps (remember rated and comment this)

How much air do I put in 2003 Accent tires

The proper tire pressure for the front and rear tires should be shown on a small sticker (placard) inside the driver door jam. Open the driver side door, and look for a sticker that shows the manufacturing date, and other information, such as the proper tire size, load capacity, tire pressure, etc.

The placard pressure is what you should ALWAYS set your tire pressure to, unless you have installed different tires/wheels than came with the car when new (and then it's anyone's guess).

The placard pressure is what the manufacturer has decided is the best pressure based on their testing for that specific vehicle. Whenever I have tire work done, I always asks the shop to inflate the tires to placard pressure. You'd be surprised, they often set the pressure wrong!

Tire pressure

Seance the car manufactures most likely did not produce the tires that are on the vehicle they will only give there recommendations as to the correct tire pressure. Always look around the perimeter of the tire and it will tell you the proper pressure for that tire. hope this helps. Good luck.
