Yes you can, I belive the top one is the one that goes bad first, you will need a spring compression tool and a floor jack to hold the door up while the pin is out, if your going to do the top one Auto zone should rent this tool.Good luck.

How do you replace door hinge pins on a 1999 chevy silverardo

The pins are driven out since they are driven is. Have the door supported on some sort of lifting device securely since it will become wobbly upon removal. Do one hinge at a time. The upper one gets the most wear

05 silverado driver side door will not lock. What

dont waste your time checking fuses, if it was a fuse ALL doors would not work. Take the door panel off and check the voltage to the lock solenoid when you lock/unlock the door, if voltage is good then you have a bad solenoid, replace it.

How do you change hinge pins in drivers door

The repair kit that you purchase should have recommended steps for replacement. With the kit that I purchased, I had to grind the bottom of the upper & lower pins off. Since this was a quick fix, my brother assisted by holding the door steady on the blocks that we set the door on. I removed the old pins. The new pins were threaded and were pulled into place as the retaining nuts were tightened. We set the door back in place and were done. I purchased the pin kits from my buddy at a local body shop.

Door pin changing

Most I've changed have just been able to be driven up from the bottom. Support the door with a floor jack to take tension off of it and be careful not to let worn grooved spots prevent the pin from moving upwards. Most good kits I've seen also come with bronze replacement bushings...worth the couple of dollars extra.

Change door pins where do i begin

get a floor jack and a block of wood, open the door fully and support the door (if you have a helper it makes it a lot easier to have someone hold the door as well, tap the pins out with a punch of some kind and a hammer, i would also change the bushings for the pins, tap the old bushings out then tap the new ones in, be carefull and note which direction the bushings and the pins are facing, its not hard at all just takes some finesse and time, hope this helps!

Replacing interior door handle truck

Start by getting some Replacement door Clips for your Truck. You will need them!Got a 95' Silverado also. This happens from time to time. Start at the Bottom of the Door Panel and Loosen. Remove the Screws from the Top Panel. The Panel will Probably not come all the Way off so, You will need to work under it. That Handle is just Pinned. Once you get up to it Just remove the Pin.

How to replace inside door handle on 1996 Checvy Silverado?

This is VERY common on these Trucks. My 1995 Silverado has done it Several Times. First you are going to need Door Panel Clips to replace the Ones that you will Break taking off the Door Panel. Any Decent Auto Parts Store Carries them. VERY Straight Forward from there on. For the Exterior Handle-Remove All clips and Screws once inside the Door and Replace. Make sure to put the Rubber Seal on the New Handle or it will leak! For the Inside Handle- Remove the Pin connecting the Old handle and Replace with the New once you get the Door Panel off it is Really Easy from there on!
