So why do you want to do a tune up? I hope you put in the correct NGK spark plugs. that sould be all you need to do, unless there is a problem?

I have a misfiring problems with cylinders 1 and 6. Which ignition coil do i need to change?

Ignition coil one and six or course. The 3.7L uses separate ignition coils for each cylinder. The one-piece coil bolts directly to the cylinder head. Rubber boots seal the secondary terminal ends of the coils to the top of all 6 spark plugs. A separate electrical connector is used for each coil.
Because of coil design, spark plug cables (secondary cables) and a distributor are not used.
Two knock sensors (one for each cylinder bank) are used to help control spark knock.
The Auto Shutdown (ASD) relay provides battery voltage to each ignition coil.
The ignition system consists of:
² 6 Spark Plugs
² 6 Separate Ignition Coils
² 2 Knock Sensors
² Powertrain Control Module (PCM

How do I replace ignition?

what are you doing?
just service, (called a tuneup)
or doing repairs,
does car run? now?
or you know all that, but fail to say what part you want to change.
IGNITION has many parts.

all spark generation parts?, including spark plugs.
Ignition key switch has that word !
so does the implications of bad CMP and CKP causing spark to end. as does some fuses.
what's

tell a story, ? a goal, a job, or?

Hi Keith:
Sounds like it could be time for a tune up.
Changing the spark plugs would probably be my first step.

Fail smog for high emission

you need to do a major tuneup !!!!!!! replace air & fuel filters, spark plugs & plug wires, distributor cap & rotor, replace OXYGEN SENSOR, change oil & filter, hopefully your catalitic converter is ok, if not , it should be replaced !!!!!!!!!!! together w/tuneup would be the best way to assure passing emissions !!!!!!!!

Sounds like my 2002 nissan pathfinder is bogging down when i gas it , it runs fine but gets crappy gas miledge

needs a tuneup, definately change fuel & air filters, replace spark plugs & wires, distributor cap / rotor, change oil & filter, it would'nt hurt to replace cat conv., it restricts exhaust flow, between you & me , take it off, put a straight pipe in its place, is your inspection up to date ? you'll have a year to replace your CAT, before next inspection. just remember that. nissans this year usually need to have the timing belt replaced, nissan charges $900 + to do it. BIG DIFFERANCE ! see how it runs after tuneup, also , you may end up replacing both the cam & crank sensors down the road. I would replace the OXYGEN sensor/s as part of tuneup, it will help a great deal.
