Check the voltage being delivered by the alternator. Generally it should output a minimum of 14 volts and maybe as high as 17volts. Anything lower than that and your alternator is at fault and should be refurbished or replaced

THE BATTERY LIGHT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE BATTERY BEING BAD, IT IS A LIGHT THAT TELLS U THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE OUPUT OF THE ALTERNATOR WHICH CHARGES THE BATTERY. HAVE A PARTS STORE LIKE KRAGEN RUN A CHARGING SYSTEM TEST, IT IS FREE.
