I have a 1997 volkswagon golf, an it feels like

I have a 1997 volkswagon golf an it feels like the back end floats everytime I go over a bump. Doesn't feel very stable to me. Could it be a suspension problem?

I heard a bang from my car tonight the back wheel now as it goes round it bangs like as if youhave trainers in the washing machine

my kids got into the car this morning (into the back) and a masive twang noise happened. now it feels like the back of the car has gone down slightly and everytime i go over a bump/pothole it makes a sound as though something has broke andy ideas as the kids are noe heavy so dont understand. help please?

push down hard on back end then release suddenly,should bounce up then level straight away,if it continues to bounce,one side or the other then replace both shockers(match pair) easy job.

Speedometer work work sometimes. Hit a bump goes to zero.

suspect wiring fault ,remove battery and tray trace wiring from gearbox sender just behind mounting to were it goes into main wiring harness strip back tape usually 1/2 wires will have broken.this depends on which model of vw you have. vwsparky.

Speedometer does not work on 1997 volkswagon golf

most probably the instrument cluster is bad, there is probably a cracked weld in its circuit. Most probably needs to be replaced, but have it checked by a mechanic or try buying a used one. There is no speedo cable on ur model, it's all electronic.
