Replace the spark plug wires. I had the same problem on my girlfriends 2001 S-10 and replaced the spark plug wires. Drives like new now.

1994 Cougar XR-7 will not accelerate when full throttle is applied quickly. Instead it bogs as if it is being flooded. If throttle is applied slowly the car will accelerate evenly.

that might be a trans issue-try applying full throttle with the selector in first, see if it still does it-it so, you have an issue with maybe a throttle position sensor (remote possiblilty, it should have thrown a code though)-my guess is trans, and it might be as simple as adjusting the MLPS (manual lever position sensor) located on the side of the trans-they do require replacing sometimes too, as it may be original.

The on board diagnostics only tracks sensors connected to the igniton system so until your problem trips a sensor it will not show a check engine and then be carefull because itll probably lead you in the wrong direction, seeing as how the problem previously existed. a dirty maf will not trip a code and for me the most common solution, you can clean this with electric parts cleaner and a tooth brush be extremely gentle for this part is fragile and very expensive, also check for a short under the hood like from the coil i know this will be hard if it is only an under load circumstance and if you can get an extended drive of about 5 to ten miles look under the truck at the exhaust to see if cats are bright red like coal letting you know there plugged up. I have had these symptoms for all three of these checks im giving you, may not be your solution but some quick cost free checks you can do yourself good luck

Can't get the 2 top bolts out of my 1994 s10 blazer to replace the transmission. Help!

You may need to lift the body to get to them. I would loosen all of the body bolts and lift it just enough to get a swivel socket to them,

How can I rebuild my own transmission for a 99 s10 4 cylinder automatic?

unless you know how a automatic trnasmission works, you should not attempt it. nothing is worse than bringing a trans man a trans in a box.

If it is an auto trans. then the answer is yes. throttle control lever syncronize with the engine so both engine and trans work together.

94 blazer s10 4l60e and the 94 fullsize blazer 4l60e are they the same transmission could i use a s10 tranny for my fullsize blazer ?? i know the bolt for the plate are 3 on each side for mine and the s10...

Installing the full-size Blazer trans into the S-10 would be safer. As long as they came off of the same size engine then yes, they will interchange. But.... the trans off of the S-10 is not built as strong as the trans for the full-sized Blazer, clutch capacity is less, band servo may have smaller apply area, and torque convertor stall speed may different enough to set a "code". Towing capability would be compromised. I have no idea what you meant by the "bolt for the plate".

1994 f-350 7.3 turbo diesel.tach reading 0 rpm's at idle speed.

yea the 93 to 95 trucks never had a tach that works very long
and first the Tach does not make the od light blink or ck engine lgt
the crank trigger does this little thing is located right in middle front of engine between the vac pump and pwr steering pmp looks like a brass bolt with wires comming out of the back of it costs about 30 bucks (don't forget the locktite blue)
now that should fix the od lights and the ck engine but it may not fix the tach thats done in the tach driver module on back of tach in dash
you can replace this but my vote it's too expensive I did mine just fine with a after market one(50 bucks), bolted it right in front of old one, it hooks up super easy gets it's signal off the alternator stator

im sort of suprized it starts ok with a bad crank trig (eec needs to see +50 rpm to start fuel flow to injectors )

any good shop with a eec scanner can see this in just seconds
