94 ford explorer fwd will not disengage


alot of times when engaged on the fly or disengaged on a slope the shift control module on the transfercase can stick. try to re create the terrain when it was engaged and put it in reverse hold the brakes and shift out of fwd let it roll a few feet, stop completely put it in drive. that should pop it out

near the hand brake front or back is the switch check ef any power ef it is , pres the switch in and hold with ignition key on ef is not light on dash bord is your bolb to be replase.

Check the connector at the seat motor. It sounds like the connector may be in backwards.

Its probably a siezed or failed micro-switch which engages when you put your foot on the brake pedal or engage the hand brake.

I don't knw where exactly but both switches will be located near to their respective mechanisms.

Front fuel tank will not work


when switch is on front tank does the rear pump stay on if so the switch is probably bad remove switch from dash and test outputs out puts should switch when switch is moved if you need any further help let me know

hi , sounds like the driveshaft has stripped itssplines inside hub, look under car when in gear and see if driveshaft is turning,if so this is the problem! On left hand side.

4wheel drive does not engage on 2000 1500 chevrolet silverado 5.3


If your 4WD switch hasn't been replaced, it needs to be. There was a TSB on the early versions of this switch. The new part #15709327 Transfer Case Shift Control Switch
should solve your problem. If your switch has been replaced, then you will need to look at the ATC module, either re-program, or replace.
