Question about 1991 Jeep Cherokee Briarwood

My 03 jeep grand cherokee crd cuts out randomely and without warning at any speed. Will restart again and drive away but cant find the problem. Any ideas? The camshaft sensor, fuel pump and gear selector have been replaced.

Hi mate, got the same problem, comes up with a ECU 15 code so they say, its a speed sensor problem !!!!! but i phoned jeep they say our model dont have speed sensors and want £660 for a valve body !!!! way too dear if you ask me, jeep are ripping folk off, at best take for a diagnostic at jeep, get the codes and source the the problem yourself, but its a speed sensor fault, i'm having a garage look to see if i have the sensors, input and output on my box, if not its the valve body

I have a 2006 grand cherokee. Sometimes without warning when I come to a stop (after driving with no lights,warning,etc.) My truck hesitates when I accelerate. The rpm's go all the way up, and my truck...


could be a bad idle control valve. causing idle surge and rise and stick open to allow a large vacuum leak in your manifold which would cause those Symptoms of rough acceleration and loss of power similar to a missfire.

have it checked for cods anyway...it may have a cam or crank sensor going bad
