Question about 2004 Chrysler Crossfire

2 Answers

I have a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire. The Engine Coolant light came on while driving so I replaced the coolant and it still stayed on so I had the Thermostat replaced and now it seems to come on only when my air conditioning is on. The air conditioner is working great, all cold air, but the light comes on and goes off 30 seconds after I turn the air off again. Do you know what would make this light keep coming back on in connection with my air conditioning?

Most likely your fans are not turning on
try to confirm your radiator fans turn on with the a/c

Could the Temp sensor on the radiator also be an issue? because the fan seems to turn on....

yes, but if the fan is turning on then it would have to be turning on late
can you measure actual engine temp instead of relying on the dash gauge?

The sensor that turns the light on the cluster is screwed into the radiator. Replace that sensor for it is operations are impaired

Where is that located on the radiator because that thing is well hidden as is?

How do you replace the Drivers Side Headlight (bulb?) for 1998 Chrysler LeBaron (there is a coolant reservoir right behind the light assembly under the hood :(

Raise the hood and look at the headlight assembly from the top, you should see a couple of pins to remove and pull them up...the headlight assembly should come out. then just remove the plug and replace the bulb

2004 Crossfire just dies (rarely and randomly) when driving or sitting at a light. Check engine light is on; low coolant light is also on... intermittently. Had it checked at a shop; no codes were found...

the coolant light won't cause it to stall more likely to be a crank shaft sensor possibly only way to find out though is to replace it and see what happens sometimes these things don't throw up codes and would need the scan tool to be on the car when it stalls and won't start again the crank sensor cools down then will work again

My Chrysler Pacifica is running hot i have coolant what could be the problem

The overflow tank or radiator cap may not be holding the coolant under pressure. Try replacing the cap which would be cheaper than ant other fix.

My temperature light comes on

Low on coolant or fans aren't working. Check level of coolant (ONLY WHEN COLD.....WHEN CAR HAS SAT FOR SEVERAL HOURS...NOT RUNNING!)

I have a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica and my blower is blowing only cold air. The heat does not work.

Tenia, the most likely cause is that you are low on engine coolant. The coolant from the engine also runs through your heater coil. Check the coolant level when the engine is cool. There is a line in the coolant resevoir that says 'Cold Max'. Add the premixed coolant until you reach that line.

If that works, I would monitor the coolant level over the next few days. If it drops again, you likely have a coolant leak somewhere.

2004 crossfire engine dies at speed

Hello Paul, You stated your crossfire stalls and the usually restarts. It could be several things that cause this... If the check engine light is on, have it scanned to determine what caused it to come on - It sounds like you are having an intermittent crankshaft position sensor failure. I hope this information is helpful...Happy Holidays.

65K service

check the owners manual for recommendations, but in most cases this is about the miles (60,000 mile service) the cooling system should have the hoses changed and the coolant condition tested and flushed as ness, also the transmission should have a fluid and filter change, the fuel filter should be replaced (every 30,000 miles) and a front end aligned if tires are not wearing evenly.
