hard to answer without knowing what the ATV oil specs are. At less than half a quart I would just continue and make sure I changed the oil on time. If it worries you do a quick oil change.

It has a capacity of 5 quarts of SAE 5W30 oil with filter change. The cooling system capacity is 2 3/4 gallon of a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water. The 40T40E transmission/torque converter holds a total capacity of 12.9 quarts or 6.9 quarts to just drain the pan and replace the fluid.

5 quarts is the norm when you change the filter at the same time. I usually start with 4, start the car to get it off the ramps and level, wait ten minutes for it to settle and the check it. If it is right at the add line it means you are one quart low. Halfway between the add and full is 1/2 a quart low...

Right around 4 3/4 quarts. Use an AC Delco filter. There is a difference and this will prevent low oil pressure.

2007 Pontiac Grand Prix uses oil between oil changes and has a black carbon type ring around the exhaust pipe opening. Pontiac dealer told me it's normal for a 3800 V-6 to use a quart of oil in a thousand...

it is not normal for that engine to use that much oil. i know of another grand prix like yours that lost the engine and the dealer had to replace it. something is wrong with that engine. maybe talk to another gm dealer. good luck
