P0014 is "B" camshaft Position - timing over advanced or system performance (bank 1). You wont be able to figure this out without a good scan-tool. The ECM controls the timing, it is not adjustable. You would need to find out if the timing is truly off to that camshaft or if the sensor is damaged.

Camshaft b is over advanced, the timing belt has jumped, this is critical, run engine as less as possible, and get it to the shop, the timing belt needs to be replaced if it breaks,or jumps to far out of time,it could cause engine valve damage

P0013 p0014 - 2006 pontiac pursuit

Hi Anbissch, The fault codes you report are related to the camshaft pick up sensor and the camshaft timing. I do not understand what the replacement control arms have to do with the problem you report. I believe if we are talking of the same parts, the control arms are related to the front suspension. Please make your enquiry more clear as it is difficult to understand. Regards John

You dont say what engine you have so I ASSUME its the 4 cylinder??? I dont know what your car needs because I dont know what has been checked, but even the wrong viscosity engine oil or low oil level can cause this code. Or it could be a cam sensor problem. I would have a professional repair shop check it out and recommend repairs.

I have an 2006 Pontiac G6 with 4cyl and automatic. I got a p0014 camshaft position actuator B-bank 1, timing over advance. could it be the sensor or do you think the timing belt needs to be replaced?...

hi, this is due to oil pressure send to the exhaust camshaft position sensor,, before u change this sensor or checking engine timing,, change the positon of sensor a to sensor b and check the dtc if it is still p0014, if other dtc will send to ecmit means that the sensor is the problem, if P0014 still the code, you may now check bank 1 timing
