Put your key in the drivers side door lock and hold it to the left. The alarm will sound for a couple seconds and then turn off. Open the door, hop in, and start your car and off you go................we have waited 4 weeks to find out how to solve this problem........hope this is useful to someone.

How to disarm alarm 1996 buick park ave

Easiest way to go about it is disconnect the wire to the noise maker. U could disconnect the wire to the alarm board itself but you do not know if there are some other circuits tied into it that will be disabled when you do the disconnect. But if you do it my way there is no hassle.

Of course, when the alarm goes off you will hear nada. My only concern is that when the alarm goes off if it kills other circuits that make the car go.

If you can get a hold of a schematic you can tell what the story is and what to do.

Need alarm replacement keychain

Heidi,
I assume you have lost your original keychain remote. A dealer probably won't be much help since the alarm is aftermarket. Most are.
Your best bet is to take it to a good auto sound shop and tell them your problem. They can find the receiver inside your Trooper, open it up, and determine the make and model of the alarm system, and can order you a new remote(if they don't have one already), and can match the code to your existing system. This should not cost more than $40-$50 and only take 1 or 2 days to order. They can code match it when you pick it up in about 15 minutes. Good luck!

Need 2 reset alarm..if I reconnect battery the alarm sounds.the keychain alarm pad is inoperable at this time 2001 ford escape

There is more than likely a sequence to resetting the alarm, is the batterys in the remote flat as they are only 3 volts a piece (6 volts).

1998 toyota Avalon, the car alarm is going off when opening the drivers door manually with the key (remote is broke) and then the car will not start.

Same here... I have a 1998 Toyota Avalon XL. My car battery died. Replaced my car battery, but found out that when you unplug and plug the car battery with this car it engages in security mode (I have factory car alarm). This disables the engine and wont let you turn the ignition aka start the car engine until the remote (keyless entry) "UNLOCK" is applied. My remote is also lost so I cannot disable the alarm.
The only thing I can think of to do is unplug the battery again to disable everything (car alarms are annoying...) and call the dealer to pick the car up and perform the diagnosis. Most likely they will offer you another keyless (ugh... expensive) and/or you could ask to disable the factory car alarm.
I know thats not much help but it seems to be the only option from what I researched currently....

How to disable 2000 elantra car alarm

ok are you ready, first turn the ign on but do not turn the key to the start position, the alarm should sound, as soon as the alarm stops sounding, count 10 seconds then start the vehicle, this will disable the alarm unless you set it with the remote, if that doesent disable it repeat above again it has to be 10 second count after alarm stops..

New battery -alarm sounds- have to disconnect the battery-

The sounding alarm maybe a security system installed by in the truck. Disconnecting the battery will only temporarily solve your problem, but will resume once you reconnect the battery for electrical power.

You must find the keychain/remote of the security system and disable it. If you are unable to locate this, you can have it disconnected by a qualified automotive electrician.

Word of caution though, if you are using the keyless entry system with the security system, this will be disabled until you install a receiver with such function.

Hope this helps.

Help

i have a 1996 grand caravan, and i have the problem of alarm going off too. I also do not have a keychain to turn it off. All you have to do is unlock the driver door or passenger door with a regular key, and that stops the alarm.
