Put on a new a/c compressor the clutch will not engage

there are two switches that work the clutch
they are the high pressure switch which activates if there is excessive gas in the system causing excessive pressure, blockage in the system and high temp at the condenser from the fan not working
then there is the low pressure switch which activates when there is insufficient gas in the system from leaks
these switches control a relay which is connected to the ac clutch
If you did the ac replacement yourself
take it to an accredited ac specialist shop and have the gas pressures checked as that will point to where the problem is most likely to be

How to fix code 1598 2001 dodge stratus

The link below shows Dodge error codes:

Your error code indicates A/C Pressure Sensor Voltage Too High.

It probably is due to either a short or grounding of a wire/switch/sensor. Do the things you can do yourself - check all earth wires around the ac unit. Clean and tighten them.

If your ac works fine, ignore the code.
If not - don't waste time and money changing bits in an attempt to solve the problem. Visit a workshop

200 ford focus no air conditioning and when turned on engine revs up and down

Sounds like you are low on Freon. The engine has a separate RPM control which is used to increase the speed anticipating the A/C clutch to engage. When the A/C clutch does not engage, the engine overspeeds. The system then slows down and you get the variation you describe.

Service the A/C. If you try to do it yourself you will be alright if there is still a little Freon in the pipes. But if you do not have any pressure, th leak will need to be found and fixed. Then borrow a big Vacuum pump and evacuate the system. Best performance is a pressure between the high and low limit switch cutouts.

AC works when car is cold but will not start after car is hot. If I leave the car for an hour the AC works again...

Sounds like either the a/c relay , ON/Off switch or possible a high pressure switch.
All of these can be checked with a voltmeter.
Relay must have B+ going to it and leaving it .
On/off switch when removed from connector and bypassed with jumper wires should turn on system.
High pressure switch should have B+ on both sides of its terminals when system is on.
If your gonna do the diagnosis and repair yourself
you must do these tests when the vehicle is hot and a/c fails to turn on.
If you determine its the high pressure switch. I recommend you farm the job out (unless you have a recovery machine and a set of manifold gauges). It will be safer and cheaper to repair. Good luck.

When i turn on high beams sometimes my lights just go off. I then just keep flicking switch until lights come back on, 2003 impala. I also am having a problem with my selector switch that controls my...

the turn signal/multifunction switch is defective, the other problem is a vacuum loss at the AC mode control switch or the vacuum switch itself (part of the AC control in dash), check the vacuum resovior under the hood gfor leaks and make sure the vacuum reaches the switch in the dash.
