If it has the little grey retangle on the side of the distributor that is the ignition module. chances are that is your problem. u need a special tool to do it. but both are cheap and readily available at your local parts house. it is either that or the coil is bad. autozone can test both.

This is a guess from general experience (I'm 55): You have a dirty distributor and/or worn/ damaged distributor cap.

Distributor not putting out fire

Dreaded main relay failure will cut power to fuel and distributor.

Its not firing weve replaced the relay switch the distributor and coil and it still isnt firing

You say Distributor if this actually has a distributor and not a coil pack remove the distributor cap and watch the rotor as you crank the motor. If the rotor isn't spinning your timing belt is broken, if it is, check the relay in the power distribution box under the hood as well as the fuse there and in the interior fuse panel to make sure they are all functioning properly.

My stratus isnt geting power to the distibuter so it wont fir

stratus in the USA don't have distributor it has a crankshaft position sensor that fires a coil unless this auto is a European or some other country that still uses carburetor and distributor.

first you need to test circuits see where the fire is going in and coming out when you find the spot that you have no firing coming out theres your demon replace it also check your fuse if it didnt show signs of a problem befor you parked it make sure you ignition relay or fuse isnt blown also check your ignition control moule and pick up some call them stators

We have no fire coming out of the distributor, we have changed rotor buttons and distributors we have also changed the computer. Can you please advise were the ground is on the thermostat housing?

The ground for the distributor is actually on the backside of block under intake kinda in the harness it bolts directly to block and holds harness up. Make sure the distributor is turning when you spin it over if it isnt the timing belt have broke
