I am looking for the doors mirrors control switch for 1995 grand marquis located on the drivers arm rest

Usually a bad switch would only fail in a couple positions..left to right both sides.if mirrors are completely inoperable I would look at a possible wiring concern, but I don't want to scare you, it could still be switch and they're comm

Remove the screws first. There may be one by the mirror. one at the door handle. two in the arm rest, and then two more under the cup out of the arm rest. Then the panel pops off . use a screw driver and your hand when you get room on the bottom and pry it out and work your way around.

Hello, to replace the rear mirror, try the following:

1. Roll the passenger side door window all the way down. Turn off the ignition and remove the keys.


2. Gently pry the window control panel from the arm rest with the pry tool or screwdriver starting at the bottom of the panel. Flip it over and unplug all the wire harness outlets from it. Set the panel aside.

3. Locate and remove the two panel door plugs near the arm rest concealing the two screws and remove the screws with the Phillips head screwdriver.

4. Remove the door panel retainer plugs along the edge of the door by pressing in the middle of the plug to unlock it and removing the plug.


5. Detach the mounting triangle from the upper inside door panel covering the side-view mirror.

6. Remove the door panel by lifting outward and then upward. Disconnect the speaker wire harness from the underside of the door panel and set the door panel aside.

7. Locate and disconnect the mirror wire harness.

8. Pull back the foam insulation from the inside panel covering the side-view mirror.

9. Unscrew the three mounting nuts from the mirror using the ratchet, extension and a socket. Do not drop the nuts into the door cavity.

10. Pry the mirror gently away from the outside of the door.

11. Install the new mirror and replace the mounting nuts on the mirror studs and tighten with the ratchet, socket, and extension. Plug the mirror wire harness back in. Replace the foam insulation. Replace the mounting triangle.


12. Replace the door panel by reversing the procedure. Start by plugging in the speaker wire first.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. You can then remove the bolts securing the mirror onto the door

There will usually be a screw or two in the arm rest/handle area that you have to remove, then you have to pull on the edge of the cover at various spots around the door. There are plastic push-in pieces that require some force to take off.

to make sure . if that don,t do it check your fuses
