Question about 1965 Ford Mustang
Integral Fuel Pump & Filter (Replaceable Element Type)
Prior to 1966, the fuel pump was equipped with an integral fuel filter, featuring a replaceable element. It is recommended that this filter element be replaced every 36 months or 36,000 miles, or in the event that the filter becomes clogged. It is important to use the proper filter element for your fuel pump and to observe the instructions for positioning the element within the fuel pump unit. These instructions will be printed on the replacement element.
