Where is the coolant temperature sensor located on a 1999 plymouth voyager...not grand, 3.0 v-6? thanks

It is screwed into the side of the block. remove your air intake up to the throttle body and have a look under the wires next to the thermostat where is the coolant temperature sensor located on - thumbs.gif

it is located in the air filter case in some cars is in the air duct that connects the air filter to the throttle body is a small sensor inserted in the duct with two cables connector .

the speed sensor may be bad, its located on top/back of trany, unplug connector and remove bolt and then it pulls right out, hope this helps.

This is a diagram of where and what it looks like. Its located on the back side near the firewall on your transmission. GOOD LUCK!

Radiator fan will not kick on 1999 voyager flex fuel ,i already replaced coolant sensor


Check you replaced the correct fan control sensor switch (not the temperature gauge sender),
Check fan fuse,
Check fan control relay operation,
Check fan will run if power applied directly to it.

Overheating


Look down right side of front of engine below camshaft cover,almost right behind it. right below front rocker cover bolt.

yes, the engine gets hot and has a shut off to protect it from overheating to badly. Repair the fan and see if the problem is corrected. If not please let me know. Thanks

Fans want turn on and the 1999 plymouth grand voyager over heats.


the cooling fan module is located under the air cleaner box on the radiator core support. very common problem .it is flat and about 3 inches long held on with 2 5.5mm bolts.
