How to set the timing on a hyundai Santa fe 03

The computer sets timing. No adjustments. If your doing the timing chain/belt. You really need to buy the manual. Timing is critical. The manual tells and shows you what to do. Follow it. The best investment for your car. If you have the V6, I believe it is an interference engine. You don't get the timing right, you can trash the engine.

How can I changed the timing belt

Depends on which ENGINE you have (three different engines in the 2001 Santa Fe)... I4 (four cylinder), 2.7L (V6) and the 3.5 (V6). Each has different (exact) procedures for replacing the timing belt.

Does the 2002 hyundai santa fe have an interference engine? It has a 2.4L 4-cylinder.

Hi:
All of the engines in Hyundai santa fe are interference engines, so you should regularly change your timing belt. The timing belt also drives the water pump, so it is always a good idea to change that too, if you have the engine apart for the timing belt. Here is a link to check out!

Time chain on Hyundai 2002 Santa Fe

It is simular but with a chain it has a pressure oiler that has to be replaced as well and is a little harder than a belt.

How to replace timing belt in 2001 santa fe. What

That depends on if the front motor mount is blocking half of the timing belt . Then you have to have the motor lifted out to change the timing belt . Now that just added at least another 2 hours to the labour hours. In all honesty, now you are looking at a 4 to 6 hours of total work . Now , do you know if it is a timing belt or a timing chain. Timing belt, yes will take about 4 to 6 hours , but a timing chain will take over 8 hours because it is inside the motor.
