Sounds like you have done your checks. Replace the ignition module.

Once the truck is hot, and i turn it off It will not start up util I allow it to cool down.

A couple of things maybe: the ignition control module, or the crank position sensor. I f you have a distributor, the ICM would be inside the dist. If a coil pack, the ICM is probably underneath the coils on the coil pack.
Sometimes, an ignition coil too will get hot and short out. That's 3 things you could check. Have you tried to check for spark when it won't start? If no spark, any of the 3 things noted. If you do have spark, see if the fuel pump is quitting and putting out no pressure.

I have a 1990 Dodge Ram 150 with the 318 engine that the coil isnt sending fire to the dist...But the coil is good. Could someone help?

Could be a bad coil, or a bad pickup coil inside the distributor, or worst case a bad pcm.

You said the coil is good, but didn't mention if you had tested the coil's primary and secondary circuits with an ohmmeter to see if they are within specs? And the pickup coil is like a crank position sensor: it tells the pcm crankshaft position and rpm so the computer can determine spark timing.

Engine cranks but no start, no spark. What else can I check?

is it actually rotating when the engine turns over I know sounds stupid but I\'ve seen the teeth that goes inside against the cam break off on first turn over happened to me once on a Honda, also that same car my original problem was I was getting power and everything like you but the icm on the distributor was putting the power out on the ground side and the power turned to ground not allowing the distributor to do its job and produce spark

hope this helps

Possible distributor pick up coil located inside distributor cap It will be the black plastic piece with the wire on it. These were common to fail and cause a no spark situation

92 lumina apv cranks but wont start

As you know this is a fairly simple system.
The pickup coil in the dist signals the module and computer when to fire the plugs and injectors. If you are getting a pulse to the injectors you should be getting a pulse to the ICM.
Is it possible there is a break in the harness to the dist or the ICM ?
And is it possible the distributor is not turning or not in time ?
Can you make and break ground on the new coil to make it spark ?
You may have to go back over everything again and see if you missed something.

I ASSUME its a 2.2l VIN "4"? Better be SURE you put in the correct crank. Different years have different tone wheels for the Crank Sensor. If it ran before, it should run now. I think 2 wire connector is for power to coils Power to Pink wire comes from IGN fuse A. Pink is 12V, Black is ground, 6 wire plug is for ICM.(bolted to base of coil pack) cant bench test anything. Should be a code 42 if cranked for 5 seconds and no start if its a CKP issue.

Ok up date on my 1996 c1500 now i have no spark.I have power into crank senser, into icm, into coil pack but nothging coming out. Please help

Is there another trigger for spark? Usually there is a crank position sensor AND a camshaft mounted trigger for your coil pack.

Check it out and repost!

IF COIL IS NOT FIRING DO YOU HAVE BATTERY VOLTAGE AT COIL IF SO YOU EITHER HAVE A PICK UP ASSEMBLY IN DISTRIBUTOR BAD OR PCM NOT SURE WHAT THIS SYSTEM IS USING TO TRIGGER COIL THE COIL HAS TO BE ENERGIZED VIA BATTERY VOLTAGE WHEN THE COIL IS TRIGGERED TO FIRE THE FIELD THAT HAS GENERATED INSIDE COIL COLLASPES CREATING SPARK IF COIL IS GOOD YOU HAVE VOLTAGE TO COIL THEN IT,S NOT BEING TRIGGERED
