Question about 2001 Honda Accord

1 Answer

My indicator lights on my 2001 Honda Accord are going crazy: randomly blinking on and off. It can't be the alternator (I don't think) because it's been a few months. Any suggestions? My local mechanic wants to charge me $150 just to hook it up and get the code. Thanks!

Have the following systems tested by any Kragen or Autozone auto parts store, do an Alternator test and battery load test, also have them run an OBD2 code test, the tests are free.

2000 honda accord SE stalls randomly

Take your Accord to a competent mechanic and have it diagnosed for stored DTC data which will provide guidance for locating probable trouble causes that can be checked. This is a more practical alternative to replacing parts at random.

All dash lights spontaneously come on. Go off in steps as decelerate. Off at stop. Come back on as accelerate.

Bad voltage regulator in alternator or short somewhere. Sounds like voltage regulator or belt slipping and not allowing alternator to work properly

I have an 01 honda accord and the battery light the doorlight and brake light are all flashing what can cause that

I have a 1998 Honda Accord 4cyl vtec that is doing the same thing but only when its cold. Once the car warms up the lights stop flashing. When this does happen the wipes are slow, light the alternator isn't charging properly. This isn't a service light issue. I know how to reset this light. Lights on the dash that flash are the battery light, the door open indicator lights on the dash and the brake light - all at the same time. I had the battery replaced since mine was two years old but this didn't fix it.

TCS light & ABS Light on/off intermitent

usually when there is an interuption in current flow you will get flickering indicator lights on the dash. This means one of two things, either the sensors that control those indicator lights are becoming faulty or the alternator may be on its way out. One thing you need to keep in mind if you ABS unit is on its way out you will not notice any difference in drivability. ABS is just a brake assist(Antilock Brake System) when it fails you don't lose your brakes you just stop like a regular brake system would without an assist.(ABS) Maybe the unitis on its way out as well.. I would ge it checked as well.. Good Luck

Light blinking on D4my 1993 accord has the Drive4 indicator light blinking and since that has started the car will not down shift automatically. Anyone know what all this could mean?

the light blinking is an indication that a fault has occured in the automatic transmission, u will need to have Honda test the system for a fault code to determine the exact problem
