I can tell you one thing, and I've been at this 46 years, Iam not paying $1800 to replace a perfectly good wire harness.
Discribe in detail what you need done, and I will come up with something for you.
If they are referring to melted harness connectors, they are avail or you get them off a salvage vehicle.
Also there are tools to remake your terminal ends.
The dealer is not a custom repair shop, their parts switchers.

Horn blows when turning steering wheel

Problem solved!

Clockspring was not the culprit. Four insulating plastic washers of particular shape for airbag brackets deteriorated - I should say crumbled. Consequently, airbag sagged and contacted the horn grounding point. It was a difficult problem to diagnose without prior experience. Since dealer doesn't sell the washers separately, I had to either fabricate them or purchase the entire steering assembly for $100. I took the first route. It took me a day.

My grand son has a 2000 ford focus. The carb has 4 vacume ports, but we can not find a small plastic part that goes into one position. It crumbled when touched and has a .2MM hole (we think) to allow air...

recommend you just plug the port entirely. There is no reason for a port to vent thru a small hole. He can stick a golf tee into the hose he has on it. This will probably work until you can find a better answer. If the car is running rough, maybe there is another part missing that went to the part that crumbled. Check for a loose hose that might have connected there.

Speedo drive broken where can ii get a

If you're referring to the plastic gear that fits into the transmission case, you can pick them up at any Ford parts dealer. You'll need to know the color and/or teeth count. They only run a couple bucks.

I have an antifreeze leak. I have found the leak, but cannot find a replacement part. I do not know what the part is called, so not sure exactly what to ask for but cannot find the part online anywhere. I...

The car is less than ten years old, so the dealer is your best option. Go to the Ford/Lincoln dealer near you and ask the parts department. My 1983 Tempo had one of these Frankenstein's monster things. It too leaked; the part was exhorbitant, so I just re-routed it, and using couplings and adapters, made one myself. It was even uglier than Ford's, but it worked. Ford, who claims to have a better idea, often engineers funky, unique parts like this one. Chevrolets are simpler.

A/C works but no hot air in defroster or front vents. Rear heat works 2001 ford windstar

If rear heat works then it is not a thermostat problem.
A frequent Ford problem is the damper motor which is located behind the radio. The motor has a plastic gear inside and it wears.

If you plan to replace it by yourself it could take one hour. It suggested to by the special tool to remove the radio, at the dealer for $10.

Once the radio removed you should see a plastic unit about 3 X 4 inches. This is the actuator/motor. Unscrew the two or three bolts (8mm?) then you will have it in your hand. Inspect the plastic gear. If I'm right the gear will be bad. If it is, buy the replacement part at your dealer for about $70 and install it following reversed procedure. If I'm wrong you will have lost $10 for the radio special tool and maybe 30 minutes of your time.
Let us know about the result.
Hope it will help

Yes I'm trying to find a part for a 2001 Ford Expedition back rear window that pops open a couple inches. I need the black round plastic screw. Can not find part number or name??? Help

I think you are talking about the quarther glass, and that it opens. The part you are referring to would be a dealer only item / or salvage yard. But at the dealership parts departement they could pull up pictures and you could point at the part you need and either order or have it instock. Will not cost very much.

Passenger side head light

glad you asked , its like a saftey pin , you push in on the lower side of that paper clip looking device , as you push in , move it side ways to the left or the right , depending on how your looking at it , its real dumb , just like a saftey pin . by the way there is a recall on the 2002 , 2003 altima headlights , if you see burnt connectors , or crumbly plastic were the actual bulb inserts into the light assembly , take it to nissan , under the headlight campaign , more often they will replace both headlight assemblies , all nice and new and clear . 2 thumbs up !
