Get a spring compressor and compress springs, then remove the three top nuts on the top and then on the bottom there is a bolt and nut to remove as well.

If you want diagrams and other step by step directions, go to and register, then login, choose year, make, model, and then choose view repair manual. it is all free.

SOURCE: how do you change mcferson struts

I believe this is the model that the insert has to be removed through the top. There is a metal plate over the strut tower that has to be removed and then there is a special tool required to remove the insert.

Is the shocks, struts, ball joints, bearings, calipers and ignition module & coils, also fuel pump from a 93 Buick park avenue the same as a 95 Buick Riviera?

The short answer is no.
Some of the parts may fit, but most are different part numbers.
The engine codes are different, and you would need to look the part numbers up online and compare.
I know the ball joints are different, so the rest of the suspension and brake parts are probably different too.
The coils and fuel pump might interchange.

My 1993 buick park ave rides fine with 2 people but with 4 the rear bottoms out regularly. The compressor pump runs pretty much every time I shut the engine off. Is it struts, pump or what?

I had just the same problems with my 93- Park Avenue. The mecanic man found leaks on the supply
hoses from the compressor and repleced the hoses. Easy job. I have resently replaced my struts and that helpt even more.

How do i change the front struts on a1995 buick regal grand sport

Use a spring compressor to clamp the spring down (Be Careful). disconnect strut from lower control arm, and the 3 or 4 bolts under the hood ontop of the strut tower. Remove strut and spring, remove spring from strut (Still Compressed), put spring on new strut (Still Compressed), Install bolts under hood, aka strut tower, reconnect lower control arm, slowly uncompress the spring and make sure it seats properly. Take it an alignment shop to get your front end re-aligned.

I am looking for an exploded view of how rear struts and mounts are installed on a 1999 Buick Century

the struts are very easy to pull off the car, but as to taking the strut apart that is best left to a professional, it requires very expensive special strut cartridge installing fixtures

93 Camry strut replacement.

If you plan on keeping the car, it's always a good idea to replace the seats/bearings when you do the struts - having to replace them afer is a pain. If you mean should you replace the strut lower bushings, yes, definitely.

Hope this helps :)
