My 2000 nissian maxima with 106k on it a couple of weeks ago the service engine light came on and then last week the car started to bogg down during acceleration, but once i get over 2000 rpm's and stay at a constant speed it runs fine. the problem is all when you accelerate, it sputters, i don't know if it needs new sparks plugs or something with the engine not getting enough fuel. please help, thanks

The MAF sensor going bad on the 2000 maxima is known to cause the bogging down problems you're having. If you're getting a code for a bad MAF, look into replacing it.

Why would you drive around several weeks,not knowing why the MIL Light came on? Take it to a repair shop.

Won't start or jump

I just had this problem last week. The starter is definitely shot. Don't take it in to Nissan though. They will charge you at least 500 bucks for the starter and probably another 300-500 for labor.
Just call a couple shops and get a quote. I got mine replaced for 400 bucks and thats part and labor.

2006 check engine light came on and RPM slowed to 2000

Not the fuel filter, this is an emissions problem. Sounds like it is in Limp Mode. You need to have the ECU scanned for trouble codes. Is this vehicle not still under warranty for the emissions system? Call your Dodge dealer and find out.

Engine cranking but no start

If your key is not programmed for the car, then it will have this issue. I bought a 99 Maxima 3 weeks ago. One of the keys was programmed and worked perfectly. The other would turn the car over and stop it immediately. If you do this too many times without the key being programmed from the dealer or another source, it will erase all keys that are programmed and lock down the ignition.

Want too start

yes. the camshaft / crankshaft sensors are known to go bad and will give you the problem that you are having. does the car have a check engine light on? if it were a sensor of that sort the check engine light will be on.
