These use a module bolted onto the front of the motor under the hood, on the driver's side. It's held on by 3 torx head screws and can purchased through cradone for around $35. Common problem on GM vehicles. Did it act up intermittantly prior to stopping? If so, replace the module.

There are I believe, 3 screws that hold the wiper motor to the firewall. Try running a ground wire from your battery negative post to one of those screws. If it works, it was a bad ground. Just run a new ground wire to the wiper motor

The buzzing is from the washer pump, probably just a broken hose. The wiper motor needs replaced. it is under the grill that the wiper blades connect at. several screws to remove along the top and bottom. The linkage either pops off or there is a clip to remove. Three bolts for the motor.

I have a chevy suburban 97 the wiper motor stop working when a hit it start working then stop again

It needs a new contact circuit board, it's held onto the wiper motor assembly by 3 torx type screws. It has the brushes built into it. You can get one from any autoparts store.

I have a '97 Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 PU. Very good

Sounds like a loose connection, Clean the fuse contacts. Sometimes lubricant and dirt gets on the contacts within the switch itself and this will interfere with power supply. Have you checked the wiper relay corrosion and wear on the relay contacts impair electrical connection. Brighten up contacts with fine sand paper and if the relay contacts are suspect, remove the cover and draw folded sand paper between the contacts until clean.
