If you have not dash gadges at all than you might have somethign wrong with the dash cluster itself. if the fuse is in tact and indeed putting 12 volts to the dash and you still have nothing check the plug on the back side of the cluster. this will be on the upper right side of the cluster. make sure you have power there. also check all the ground straps under the dash this can also cause the dash to not work. since all of the gages are fed from different sources all but the main power and ground. this is where your problem is.

I know that the step motor is bad, used key to reset to normal, all gauges, this happened once where no power to dash, checked fuse, fuse was good, put it back and everything was back on. Does this make anything clearer?

ok yes this clears it up a bit, first thing i would do is reach up to the wire looms and wiggle them little by little untill you get to the plug on the back side of the gages, with the power on, this will help you pinpoint the problem, if you get all the way through the wires with out it coming on intermitantly then you might just have a bad connection at the gage cluster themself. use some electric terminal cleaner and see if that clears up the problem. also i have found that some clusters (chevy cavaler) have soilder that cracks or breakes, make sure to look for this as well once you have it out.

Dash gages do not work.,have checked fuses. Speedometer does not work either

All dash gages, including the speedometer are powered by the same fuse. Since it's intact then the problem is in the wiring loom in the dash - a connection is loose. The dash must be dismantled to access the wiring loom for testing - check every connector and every wire until you find the broken one.

The odometrer, speedometer, gas gage are not working

Has anyone had the dash out? If you take the dash out there is a cable connected to the odometer and the speedometer it is just one cable. And some wires going to the gas gage. Check and make sure the cable is connected all the way. The gas gage may also be disconnected somewhere but there could be different problems that cause the gas gage to be disabled. !Never touch two wires at the same time!

Fuel gage is not working along with odometer checked for fuses did not find took apart dash found nothing there what should i check next. Tempature gage and oil pressure gage still work fuel gage is right...

when you pulled the top of the dash off did you check the cable connection to the insturment cluster. i had a similar problem where my gauges died individually including the spedo and tach. slapping the dash usually would cause the gauges to start working again, but that quit also and i had to tear the cluster out and check the conneciton. that fixed the problem.

Dash lights and gages

There is usually 2 fuse boxes 1 that is under the hood and 1 next to the drivers side kick panel. If not that check that all your computers are working by testing them with a tester from a auto parts place or someone that may have one that will let you borrow.

94 ford probe,speedometor,oil gage,odometer not working

You need to pull the dash and check the guages look for any burning or melting. You may just need to replace the pannel in your dash, pretty easy work. If not start checking the wires and cables that come out of your faulty guages.
