I have a 2001 F150 4.6L that hesitates and acts like it has a bad plug. If you continue to excelerate it smoothes out and runs good.

Sounds like one of your coil over plugs are going bad.

Codes changing why?

There are many possible causes. Make sure you have the right firing order. Look for vacuum leaks--maybe intake gasket. Read at the link below, starying around the middle of the document.

Hesitation when engine is warm seat toledo v5 2001 170bhp; have changed maff sensor idles better now but still hesitates on exceleration and misses

check first for restricted fuel filter or defective fuel pressure, try plugging the return line of the pressure regulator if it runs ok..replace the regulator but remember not to run the engine for a minute.its just the procedure of testing the regulator..ok?

Bad gas milage, stalling at light and major hesitation

I think that you need new intake manifold gasket. do the rpm's go up and down while engine is running?? if so, then gat your self some carb cleaner in a spray can and spray it at the injector rail as the car is idling/running . if the rpm's smooth out and car runs ok for few seconds, than the gasket is broken. good luck.

engine will not rev above 3000rmp in neutral or park its a safety feature ,as for the driving problems i honestly havent a clue ,but if its a 2001 model then maybe the ford software will read this car ,after all it is a ford or was till recently.Wondering if something stupid is wrong like the plug leads ??or the wrong grade of spark plugs

Engine hesitates upon exceleration

Does it hesitate when climbing a hill, too? Might be a fuel pump or fuel pump filter. Suspect these components when an engine stalls or hesitates when more gasoline is required.

Intermitant cold start misfire

Most likely none are related to the computer. Surging idle is often a sign of a vacuum leak and can cause random misfires. Vacuum leak would also cause hesitation. Sensor heater can be a fuse, wiring or bad sensor. What's the window doing?

Hesitation while exceleration

Have these things checked for #1:
Spark plug
plug wire
#1 fuel injector
and the throttle position sensor, also have a fuel pressure test done, especially for the hesitation.

Hesitating ,not running smoothly after an oil change

check your fuel filter and make sure its not plugged up
second if not a fuel filter problem it may be your fuel pump, some pumps are mechanical externally mounted and some are in the tank with other externally mounted.
let me know how you make out, if you need more assistance let me know.
good luck
would you please leave your feedback, thanks
