Radio

You could have a stuck button that is blocking the rest of the buttons from functioning. Check the hand controls on the steering and if all is ok, try get the radio out and unplug it. If this now gives you heater display and functionality the problem is on the radio itself.

Before you delve too deep, disconnect the battery for a few minutes. Sometimes they just get "confused" and need a reboot! Its worth a try!

you could try to power down the radio, by either pulling the fuses or disconnecting the battery. But usually if everything else works, you will need to have the radio replaced or sent for repairs

How to turn on the radio

Okay, first, are you getting any messages on the radio like, ERROR 1?

Second, was the radio working while you have owned the car?

Third, has the battery been disconnected at any time?

I can post exactly what you need but I need to know some particulars because I could type out pages of "what if's".

Please reply.

I don't want to buy a priority battery from Jaguar. What other car model battery would work in a 2002 X-Type Jaguar.

Maybe a Motorcraft (Ford) will work fine, (I bought one) but be carefull to make a "back-up", never disconnect the battery at 100%, it make troubles with the computers modules, and will send error codes, someones do this "back-up" with another battery (befores disconnecting it) or a kind of plug-in battery to the cigarrette lighter, then, when you change the battery, start the car and lights (high), A/C, radio etc., then turn off al, then l and the car, even remove key, wait a minute, and start the car, if an error message appears, do the same again, if still, you´ll need to get an scanner reset. Get Luck!

Had starter put on and now the radio is giving me an error code message

when the repair facility replaced the starter they disconnected the battery causing the radio to be locked out. when disconnecting the battery a memory saver should be connected to the car. this is a simple device consisting of a 9v battery that plugs into the lighter socket. it keeps the computer memory intact until the battery is reconnected. the dealer will have the unlock code but probably charge you. i would attempt to hold the repair facility responsible.

I disconnected the battery and when I went to turn on the radio a code came up. I did not know what this ment so I was just started pushing buttons. 3error came up. I then had my son disconnect the battery...

Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for 3 minutes, and try again. The error message shouldnt be on when you insert the radio code, it wont work. I sure hope that the battery inside the radio didnt die, because it wont be able to retain the code, or the station presets. You will be amazed at how much better the aftermarket radios are. If unable to bring it back to life, do not hesitate replacing it with a well known brand. Most come with inputs to play pendrives and Ipods.

6 disc changer will not eject cds==

One common solution is to disconnect the negative battery cable for 10minutes. When you reconnect, the stereo should reset itself and allow you to eject your CD's . Best of luck!

Honda radio says ERROR E

You only get like 10 tries this means you made to many attempts trying to put the wrong code in. Disconnect the battery cable and then try putting the code in the radio again.
