Take the battery leads off and join up with a jumper lead ,leave for an hour or so and try again ,if it doesnt work call the tow truck and have it taken to the dealer

Our 1998 Ford Explorer, Eddie Bauer's SecuriLock anti theft system keeps turning on without warning. Had the battery changed and it still goes off without warning. Need to know what to do to fix it

Please don't post personal phone numbers to this public forum. I have deleted the post.

When they changed the battery, they did it too fast. There are two ways to do it.

1. maintain 12 volts to the car's electrics with wires during the battery changeover.

2. Fully dissipate the voltage in the car circuitry to fully reset the ECU and anti-theft system.

Disconnect the battery for at least 2 hours. Touch the battery contacts together for 2 minutes. Make sure the key is in the ignition but not turned on (VERY IMPORTANT). Reconnect the negative terminal. Reconnect the positive terminal in one shot. Wait 15 minutes for the reset.

1994 ford explorer limited anti-theft

Two tips:
* If your anti-theft system is sounding (horn honking/lights flashing)you press the panic button on your key fob to shut it off.

* If your anti-theft system is armed (but not triggered) it is disarmed when you unlock the door(s) using your unlock button on your keyfob, the key pad on the driver's door, or your key.

Hope help with this. Good luck (remember rated this).

I need to disconnect the anti theft 94 explorer

Refer to the owners manual and remove the fuse for the security system. If there are other necessary features tied into the fuse, then you will need to locate the security system control module under the dash or on the firewall, and disconnect or cut the wires leading to it.
