I would not advise you to fit these bulbs because the headlight glass isnt built to withstand the heat and can and will explode with the glass type and the plastic type melt or go obscure ,to fit these lights you will need to change the actual headlights for a headlight with the certificate of homoglonation for this type of bulb .Also these high capacity discharge units used with these bulbs are extremely dangerous if you are not sure how to fit and wire them in ,then please go to local garage who can then check the headlights for you as well .Another thing to consider is that many countries that have a vehicle inspection every year will not pass the vehicle if these bulbs are fitted to conventional headlight vehicles .But these kits are easy to fit ,the feed from the headlight goes into the high discharge unit then from their to the bulb ,simple to do but play with it and get a discharge ?? it will scar for life.Beforew you buy check with your local vehicle inspection station first because you do not want to buy then have to take them off ,hence thats why they are on E bay someone had their car fail its inspection and they had to remove the kits .

Hid headlights

( please add year and model type) you just need to change the module for the hids usually fitted to the light housing. they dont cost alot to replace. but converting back to normal lights you will need the the light bulb housing. these can be hard to find. as they just get chucked away. you can get hid kit if you want to change both lights they come with a manual on how to install them.

I just installed HID lamps in my 2005 Silverado. One set for the low beam and one set for the high beam. They are very bright and cansee 3 times bettter . The only problem is that they come on as soon as I...

Retrofitting HIDs into halogen headlight assemblies is ******* and my look bright to you, but they actually cast less light on the road because the reflector isn't designed to focus an HID tube. Their designed to focus a filament.

I bought my 96 chevy c1500 the 10k hid blue lights but they did not turn on but when i put them on my 95 bmw they work fine so i bought the 12k hid lights for the truk but still no luk

in every likelihood your negative or earthing terminals are not in proper touch with the body. make sure of proper contact by scraping the paint and other paintwork off before connecting.

I installed a High beam hid kit and read online that they needed a resistor in that year to trick the computer. after installing the kit and the resistors to the high beams pos and neg it still flashes...

I don't know why you would install resistors inline for an HID kit, they should be 'plug and play'-you plug the connector for your halogen lights into the ballast input for the HID kit, then plug in the HID bulb harness/ bulb to the ballast output, install the bulb into the housing-done. Some people have installed relays to the lights because when the HID's 'light off' the use a lot of power until the bulbs warm up, then they actually consume less than a halogen bulb (usually 35 watts HID to 55 or more halogen). I have HID's in a number of cars and don't have relays hooked up on any, just 'plug and play' and I have no issues whatsoever.

I have a 2004 Nissan Maxima with hid headlights an the bulb is blown an i have replaced the bulb an it still doesn't work, i checked the fuse box inside an outside, is their any other fuses i can...

It sounds like you have wire problem. This problem can be manny problems from a short due to exposed wire or it is broken somewhere... ect. if it is not the wire check further back the line to see if the buse is recieving power. Or it could be as simple as the plug you put the bulb in has a broken contact tip

I replaced my main bulbs with hid xenon in my 98 range rover hse

First let me just explain something about putting HID bulbs in a reflector headlight, then I'll get to answering your question. High end cars use something called a projector with their HID bulbs and these projectors focus the light into patterns that won't blind other drivers with very perfect cutoffs (no light goes above a certain line). To retrofit a projector into your stock housing it takes a lot of work and careful measurements and thus a lot of time. But this is the only way to do a HID retrofit the right way.
Putting a HID kit into a reflector housing as you did, also makes light scatter everywhere, which creates many hotspots or high concentrations of light that make it much more difficult to see the road. Not only do HID kits in relfector housings make it more difficult to see, they are hugely illegal, and can/may get you pulled over and ticketed by a police officer.
The best thing you could do insted of putting a HID kit in your relfector housing is to get higher wattage bulbs, OSRAM makes some great H4 overwattage bulbs. http://www.rallylights.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=6
If you purchase from rally lights (you need to purchase them in sets of two( I wouldn't go over 85/80 watt bulbs because it could melt your housing.)
Also make sure your headlights with stock bulbs are aligned correctly, most of the time this alone makes a huge difference as headlights droop over the years.
If you are set on using your HID Kit illegally and blinding all other drivers on the road and willing to live with the risk of getting pulled over by any cop you run into. You will need to figure out how to trick ecu into thinking regular headlights are being used because its detecting the power being drawn for your HID lights to be a fault in the system that needs to be replaced. You can do this by wiring in a 55watt resistor to the circuit.

Hid light not turning on

the part about the lights that won't turn on may be because there is a blown fuse or a broken relay which needs to be changed, the part about the hid lights there may be a short circuit somewhere.
