Well it sounds to me like your about due, if not past due for a timing job. A complete timing service job. If you've just recently had it done, than the problem could be that the timing is off.

How do you fix error code C1100 in a Toyota Sienna?

Toyota C1100 Possible Solution : The crankshaft sensor signals the fuel injection computer or the ignition control when the cylinders are firing. This causes the ignition coil to provide a spark and the injector to inject fuel into each cylinder at the right time.If either sensor isn't working correctly, the car will run rough and the engine will be less efficient. In later car models, the car's computer can usually keep the vehicle running, but the engine warning light on the dashboard goes on to warn the driver

Engine light blinking and it runs rough and sound like a lawn mower and back fires in front of car

Don't drive it when the light blinks, could cause damage. You may have a bad coil, we have 6 of them. Have someone check the code that the light is pulling. Need an OBD II code checker.

Engine light on, rough idle

I would definitely have the obd-II scanner read the codes off of the engine computer for this car.
Rough idle can be caused by quite a number of sensors going bad on the car, such as an O2 sensor, or a MAP sensor. But, to be economical, it's a very good idea to scan it first to find out which of the hundreds of codes it is.

Good luck on this diagnosis.

Why is my grand 2004 grand cherochee idoling rough

The idle air control valve (IAC) may be stuck or failing. This solenoid-type device controls the airflow into the engine at idle. It is fed control input signals from the engine's computer. Over time, the IAC valve may become dirty from EGR gases and carbon, etc. It may have a worn pintle (valve head) or the return spring may be weak or broken, causing a rough idle or even stalling from an over-rich fuel/air mixture. The second thing to have checked is the throttle position sensor.TPS. These devices will "flag" a fault on your vehicle's onboard OBD-II computer, which a decent code reader/scanner can display and clear. Third, a dirty throttle body housing/venturi can cause rough idling and poor response. A special cleaner is needed to remove oil and carbon residues from the specially-coated inner surfaces of the throttle body. Fourth; you may have a Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) that might be failing/malfunctioning. Some vehicles use these instead of the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor, which you may have. These sensors need to be checked and verified that they are functioning properly. Fifth; check/change your vehicle's fuel filter, and verify proper/adequate fuel pump pressure and flow performance. Don't run your vehicle below 1/4 tank of fuel...doing this sharply reduces the life and cooling of the in-tank electric fuel pump. These are not cheap, or easy to replace!

I'm getting check engine light on my dash, and it tells me that its code P0106. how do i fix this and what is it?

This info coutesy of OBD-II codes.com

Potential Symptoms The following could be symptomatic of a P0106:
  • Engine runs rough
  • Black smoke at tailpipe
  • Engine will not idle
  • Poor fuel economy
  • Engine misses at speed
Causes A P0106 could be caused by:
  • Bad MAP sensor
  • Water/dirt intrusion affecting MAP sensor connector
  • Intermittent open in the reference, ground, or signal wire for the MAP sensor
  • Intermittent short in the reference, ground, or signal wire for the MAP sensor
  • Ground problem due to corrosion causing intermittent signal problem
  • Bad PCM (do not assume the PCM is bad until you've exhausted all other possibilities).
Possible Solutions Using a scan tool, watch the MAP sensor value with the key on, engine off. Compare the BARO reading with the MAP reading. They should be roughly equal. The voltage for the MAP sensor should read approx. 4.5 volts. Now start the engine and look for a significant drop in the MAP sensor voltage indicating the MAP sensor is working.
If the MAP reading doesn't change perform the following: 1. With the Key on, engine off, disconnect the vacuum hose from the MAP sensor. Using a vacuum pump, pull 20 in. of vacuum on the MAP sensor. Does the voltage drop? It should. If it doesn't inspect the MAP sensor vacuum port and vacuum hose to manifold for a restriction of some kind. Repair or replace as necessary. 2. If there are no restrictions, and the value doesn't change with vacuum, then perform the following: with the Key on and engine off and the MAP sensor unplugged, check for 5 Volts at the reference wire to the MAP sensor connector with a Digital Voltmeter. If there is none, check for reference voltage at the PCM connector. If the reference voltage is present at the PCM connector but not the MAP connector, check for open or short in the reference wire between MAP and PCM and retest. 3. If reference voltage is present, then check for existing ground at the MAP sensor connector. If it isn't present then repair open/short in the ground circuit. 4. If ground is present, then replace MAP sensor.
