The pinion gear could be jammed in the ring gear but if you have considerable mileage on the starter and everything else checks good you could be due for a starter replacement

Truck will not turn starter, no power anywere. If I cross the rerminals on the solinoid the motor will turn but not start' I have no lights, horn. I have replaced Starter, Solinoid, ignition switch ...

there should be a fuseable link on the wires on the battery side for the solinoid they might be poped it sounds to me like your not getting power to the truck except the starter make shure all the wires are connected and check all the fuses

When turning key starter turns over but not engaging

if starter just spins and does not engage flywheel. it is usually the starter solinoid not kicking it out. when energized the solinoid, if good. kicks the starter gear into flywheel to turn engine over to start it. good-day !

2000 chevy impala, starter spins but does not engage

if the starter spins but does not engage flywheel. then its the starter solinoid thats bad. its on top of starter, when key is turned to start, the solinoid is activated, and it pushes the gears out to make contact with flywheel to start vehicle. so the solinoid just spins with out kicking out to flywheel. change solinoid or get another starter. have a good day !

Getting power to starter but not engaging had starter checked is good sometimes it will engage but most of the time it wont could the switch be bad or is...

If you turn the headlights on with the car off and have an assistant watch them they should "dim" if the starter is getting current and trying to engage when you try to start the car. If they do not dim when you try to start it then the key is not giving the starter the signal to turn over. If you don't have an assistant, turn the headlights on AND the dome light and check by yourself, it just makes it more difficult.

Seems to Be A Starter Solinoid Problem

Starter wont engage

The problem is either the starter solinoid (located on fender near battery) or you are not getting power to the "s" terminal on the starter solinoid from the ignition switch. If you follow the positive battery cable from the battery you'll follow it to the solinoid. Remove the small wire from the terminal marked "s" on the solinoid and using a screwdriver jump from "s" terminal (not the wire) to where positive battery cable connects to solinoid. (with battery connected). If starter doesn't do anything the solinoid is bad. If starter cranks then you are not getting voltage from ignition switch through "s" terminal wire.
