Question about 1983 Chevrolet Blazer
Hello I am useing a 75 chevy truck wireing harness in my street rod and for the first few years everything was fine . All of a sudden I start loseing a couple of ingnition modules a season . Have a new distributor , coil , battery ,starter ,and all connections are solid and clean . The dielectric paste has been used on all modules.Alternator was new 6 or 7 years ago and just about the time the trouble started . Carry a spare but shouldnt have to put up with this .Sick of it !!! Any ideas ?? Thanks
I would start by keeping an eye on the volt meter to make sure its not over charging at times, and the other thing is to make sure theres a good ground from the engine to the frame and also from the battery to frame, also you may what to try a ac delco module if not already using one,,well hope this helps and good luck.
