Question about 1991 Nissan 300ZX
Have a 300zx vg30dett and have replaced the engine it will now not start have found that after crimping the return line to the fuel tank it will run.... Futher investigation has no fuel pressure ! have replaved pump and tryed another fuel reg but no joy ?

Pull the hose at the engine fuel rail coming from the firewall and check the flow there. If it's low at that point then I would inspect the steel fuel lines and see if one was crushed while removing and reinstalling the engine or even jacking up the Z. If you have a good pump than it would take a lot for something to slow the flow down to almost nothing. Even and old fuel filter can't get clogged enough to not start.

If fuel injection runs out of gas ,the only way i have started any car was turn key on listen for pump .turn off an on 3 or 4 x. that primes it or starting fluid by air cleaner.or check return hose backwards.filter or leaksmaybe.
