Question about 1999 Mercury Cougar
One day on the highway my car jerked a couple times every couple miles when acclerating and the oil light was flashing on real dim. I changed the oil and it ran good for awhile then it started doing again. I changed the fuel filter and checked for mis-fire everythings good, but the other nights it started jerking worse everytime i gave it gas. If anyone had a problem like this please let me know !!
It sounds like its a coilpack. Its hard to say whick one, but it can have hot fire running slow. Then when the demand go's up and running faster it fails. So it might be a little expensive but I would go ahead and replace all of em. Prob lesss than 100 tho.
