Onboard computer

You would have to change the lock cylinder to use the "used" key, and the computer usually has to be reprogrammed to match the vehicle. These are steps to prevent someone from stealing your truck.
I would check with an experienced locksmith to see if they can program the computer for a new key without replacing the computer. Its not going to be cheap any way you go.

If the check engine lioght on an honda accord 1990 model do not go off after two seconds and while this is happening the computer shows no signal. What can be the possible cause of such problem because...

It is uaually a bad ECM (car computer). However it could be computer wiring shorting out as well. This is very difficult to find and fix because the wires could be shorting out anyewhere in the circuit.

I have a 2006 envoy and the computer is on the motor it will crank and die but if i put a heat lamp on it or by the computer then it runs do i need a new computer

Sounds like you are getting moisture into the computer, or there is some other type of electrical glitch going on. From working on cars my whole life and seeing this issue in the past, I would say to take it to a Chevy Dealership, they are going to have to run tests on the computer, but it does sound like the computer is bad and will need replacing.

Have put another motor in our prelude and we have power to everything but no spark going to spark plugs. Have put a new distributor on it. What could be wrong? Could it be computer related?

yes it could but before you replace the ecm or computer module check to make sure you are getting power to the computer it could be in the system between the ignition switch and the computer do you have the manual for it ? if not go to auto zone.com and look it up it should give a wiring diagram for your car also was this new engine out of another car? if so you may need to go back to where you got it and get the computer from that car they vary depending on options and features. reply to mrdmburns@cableone.net

Not a 99 but an 04 wiring diagram for map sensor

All wires on the sensor go to the computer, one will be a standard power wire going to the sensor, and the other 2/3 will be resisted signals going from the sensor to the computer
