Question about 1997 Acura CL

I need a diagram of the AC system (specifically the location of the compressor and the condenser) for my 97 Acura 2.2 CL.

The compressor should be between the radiator and the motor, down toward the bottom of the motor, there is a large line and a smaller line connected to it. The condenser is in front of the radiator.

What you seek is not likely to be found...your a/c is a standard feature...better to resolve a/c pulley issues rather than trying to bypass!

1999 acura cl wont;; hold a/c charge. have to put 134 in it


if it did not have r134 gas before DO NOT put r134 gas in now. The r134 runs at a much higher pressure and you need new condenser/evaporator and compressor to compensate for the high pressures generated. have an A/C technician explain it to you

NOTE: Installation of a new suction accumulator is not necessary when repairing the air conditioning system except when there is physical evidence of system contamination from a failed A/C compressor or damage to the suction accumulator.
NOTE: If an A/C condenser core leak is suspected, the A/C condenser core must be leak tested before it is removed from the vehicle. For additional information, refer toSection 412-00.
  1. Recover the refrigerant. For additional information, refer toSection 412-00.
  1. Remove the front bumper cover. For additional information, refer toSection 501-19.

    Remove the nuts from the two condenser core air conditioning line (peanut) fittings.

97 2.2 cl high idle, self rev, overheat, started same time


i cannot specifically point out what the problem might be, but an overheating car---never a good thing. check everything related to cooling. fans, radiator, hoses, waterpump, coolant overflow tank(see if its got a brownish color or looks like there is oil), and check your oil while your at it...

It's connected on top of the air filter box. The picture below will have an arrow pointing at it.

I replaced EGR valve on my 97 Acura 3.0 CL after


I am fixing to change my EGR valve and the piece of paper that came with the part say this:

Important Notice
Before installing this part, check the EGR valve passage in the intake manifold and clear any carbon blockage. Failure to do so will result in repeat malfuntion of the EGR valve system. Refer to a technical service manual or contact a service dealer for proper cleaning procedures.
