Question about 1994 Oldsmobile 88

1 Answer

I have a 1994 oldsmobile delta 88 and the headlights won't come on but every other light on the car works. I've replaced the bulbs and the lights still do not come on. I don't know if this is related but the windshelid wipers don't work either. Can you help me?

Adjusting the headlights on a 1994 Oldsmobile 88 Royale

on the headlamps there are sticks poking out. one for x axis and one for y axis. use a screwdriver to turn them when headlights are on. you should be in front of a garage or something that you can see the beams of light on.

1994 oldsmobile delta 88 royale LS was running fine than one day nothing I mean nothing , car doesnt turn over no clicking no nothing

Presuming that your battery is charged and the cables are clean and well connected (first things to check), you may have a blown fusible link. The fusible links look like regular wires except they are usually slightly larger in diameter and red, but not always, especially if they've been replaced before. The fusible links are connected to the hot post of the starter solenoid where the positive battery cable is also connected. The fusible links can be tested with a common 12 volt test light.

I want to replace flasher on 89 olds 88 where is it

If you mean the blinker bulb, they are either set in behind the front bumper, where you see the orange/white colored glass (directly beneath the headlights)....OR the side blinkers, which are accessed by opening the hood and reaching in from the inside.

The rear blinkers are able to be accessed by opening the hood, and removing a small (phillips head) screw on the top of the vertical tail light housing. These lights serve as blinkers and brake lights, and there are two in each housing. Hope that helps! :)

With the vehicle In Park and the ignition on, swith the R/S signal on. Now , gwt out of the car and walk to back of car and inspect the R?R signal light . OK ? Now, do the same to the R?F signal light. One of them are not going to working correctly. Replace the defective bulb, or socket

My hi and low beam headlights were broken in a small damage accident-1991 olds delta 88 royale-my local supply store tells me a replacement is not available? can any advise thank you bill

hi bill, I think the problem might be the glass cover for the headlights. I checked, and the 87-91 olds delta 88 have a replacement bulb, not a sealed beam headlight. I assume the glass cover (lens) of the headlights were broken due to the minor accident. The headlight lens, or glass, might be found in an auto salvage yard. You might find new ones at a dealership, but they would be very hard to find for a 91, as they don't make them anymore, due to the cars age (no demand to make manufacturing them worthwhile). So check the junk yard, it's your best bet. Good luck, Curt

Changing headlight bulbs on a 1998 olds 88

Open the hood find where the light are, there is a black socket going to them turn to the left and pull out,do not touch the new bulb with your fingers or the oil from them will burn the bulb out.
