You knowed what code are there? Read the Check Engine Codes

If you change the sensors, Reset the ECU, sometimes they keep stored in the mmeory.

Hope this help; good luck (remember rated this help).

1998 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE wont idle runs really rough

Look for a vacuum leak at the intake manifold. Spray (flammable) brake clean around the area while the engine is running and look for the idle to change. Also check for a vac leak at the brake booster by pinching the Vac supply line and see if the idle changes.

it is possable/likely a bad ECTS (engine coolant tep. sensor), this can cause the injectors to allow to much fuel into cylinders and cause a low compression and or flooding situation, good luck, marty

Engine ligth & VSC light both on. Went to AutoZone & they test computer that showed a P1135 problem which is the Air/Fuel Sensor. What does that have to do with VSC lights on.????

When the check engine light comes on, the VSC light come on along with it by default.  I don't exactly know why, it just does.  Fix the problem with the air/fuel sensor and reconnect the battery, should take care of the problem.

I have a hyundai elantra 2003 and the engine ligth is on,

when the check engine light comes on it is often to alert you to something not running correctly. you may not always be able to recognize the issue for examble a common reason the check engine light comes on is the O2 sensor is going bad, may not be your issue but is very common. in that case your car will continue to run but not at its most efficient level. the amount of gas used is controled partally by the O2 sensor correctly recognizing how much oxygen is in your exhaust you may get worse gas milage but not by much and most people would not know to change sensor except if the dash light came on. you should have it checked, if the light flashes it is an emergency stop the car and call a service station to verify the severity. having the ligh stay on is not usually any reason for quick action just a warning.

2005 jeep liberty diesel code # p0101 map- sensor out of range what is map

The MAP sensor (MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE) changes voltage or frequency as intake manifold pressure changes (air flow increases or decreases). The engine's computer uses the reading to advance or ****** engine timing. On older, non-fuel injected engines the vacuum advance on the distributor did basically the same thing.
The MAP sensor also works with other sensors on the Jeep engine, specifically the Throttle Position Sensor (on the throttle body) and Crank Position Sensor (on the transmission bell housing) to control other fuel flow and ignition timing functions.
If you're having problems with the MAP sensor, or are getting a Check Engine light and code for the MAP sensor keep in mind that other problems may cause that error code.
Bad vacuum hoses, vacuum leaks, bad EGR valves, intake manifold leaks, clogged air filter can all affect the MAP. sensor. To know for sure all the other sensors should be checked for correct voltage and perimeters
Also, if you have done any mods to the engine, especially intake, exhaust and ignition mods you may get an error code for the MAP or incorrect reading and a resulting loss in power or increased fuel usage.
The map sensor is easy to change with a couple screws off the Throttle body.. The part the air inters (the air breather). Buy one from the auto parts store if your sure that is the problem and just replace it..There is no adjustments to it...

It really sounds to me that you have a small vacuum leak in a line somewhere. You can try spraying the motor vacuum lines with soapy water with the vehicle running to find a leak. Also listen and feel under the dash for leaks and hissing sounds.
Hope this helps.......

Engine turns over but won't start

The codes will only lead the technician in the right direction to fix whatever part has failed, it won't be the fix, just wanted to make sure you understand that.

Check engine light on.

Replace O2 sensor. They have to be really hot in order to read right. Did you ensure to drive around a good 30 min to make it hot?
