I guess I would like to know why you decided to replace the F/L hub. Did you use a scan-tool to retrieve codes?
There a sensor on your steering column. This sensor detects the angle of your steering wheel. Tipically I have seen them on vehicles that have the stability control feature. It will cut power to the engine when the tires loose traction. See if you have it, your symptoms do seem to fit.

the reason i changed hub bearing i took it to a shop and they told me it was bad. i did have to change it twice though the first one was bad. and yes i hooked to scan tool the codes still show up though. i cant remember the codes though i can get them again if needed.

Yes, I would like the code/s if you could. I'm not sure about what scan-tool is being used but if you can view live data. I would like to know if all four speed sensors are showing the same numbers as you drive straight. If your truck has that steering angle positioning sensor, I would like to know if it is at zero while you are moving straight? If you reset the engine light, how long before it comes back on? Also how long between the first two hub change-outs, did you have to change them? Is the truck driven in harsh environments, like muddy, dirty/dusty, or sandy/salty areas. I have to ask, hopefully it will help. You really shouldn't have to do hubs that often. Let me know.

if hub bearing replacement did not fix the noise

when noises are on left and right turns
that has CV joints /drive shafts
would say they are the issue
replace both sides

and replace the left hand hub bearing at the same time

Traction light on

Traction light is part of the ABS brake system. I had to the same problem 2 years ago and my auto repair guy said it was my front hub bearing. I replaced both sides with new hub bearing (right & left wheel) and now I have to replace the left one again. The thing about 04 grand prix gt they have a wheel/hub bearing problems. GM never recalled for this problem

Abs light on wheels shaking

If your ABS light is light it could mean several things. First check to make sure that your parking break is all the way down. Secondly, it could be cause by you not having enough fluid for your breaks.

My abs break light comes on when i have to hit my breaks hard. sometimes it comes on and go's out after i turn the car off.I was told that i needed a left wheel hub bearings. It's a 98 acura 3.2 TL I was...

Hi

This is most likely one of 2 things 1 the abs sensor on one wheel is faulty, not uncommon cost about $80 for a new one. or you can clean the old one as often they get dirty from brake dust.

secondly the brake pads may need replacing, the ABS warning light is to let you know that these may need replacing, often when it is the brakes they will fel different as you press it down, sometimes they push back up towards you as your pushing down. I would have the back brakes checked as that is normally the cause.

you can still drive the car no problem.
hope that helps

I'd bet your brake rotors are grooved and need to be resurfaced (or replaced if they are too thin). This also means you should replace the pads too.

Either someone damaged a sensor for the ABS/TRAC control, or the replacement parts are not compatible with the ABS system.

Scraping sound at very low speed (5MPH)

I have personally seen a lot of wheel bearings go bad on these vehicles. If you hear the noise get more pronounced when turning left, the right front (passenger side) bearing is most likely the culprit- if turning right, it would be the left front (driver side) bearing.

Hope this is helpful!!

Buick rendevousz headaches

I own the 2002 Buick Rendezvous CX and I've encountered the same problems listed here. The ABS / Traction Control Lamp stays on and was throwing a code for the left wheel speed sensor as well as an anti-lock brake code (both in the wheel bearing hub assembly). I replaced the left and right front wheel hub assembly yet this did not eliminate the abs codes.
Ultimately, I traced this problem to a break in the wire that leads to the left hub assembly. Although the sensor was properly connected, the wire (which is encased in a plastic housing) was broken. This is the wiring which leads from the abs wiring harness under the hood down to the left wheel abs sensor.
I would suggest that you simply remove the left wheel and inspect the wire that leads to the abs sensor (there is only one wire on each wheel). Mine literally fell apart when I removed the plastic housing around the wire. I spliced the wire together and put it back in the plastic housing. After this, my abs codes disappeared and my anti-lock brakes began working again!
This is a simple fix that many people spend $1000 + on by replacing the hub assembly which does not fix the problem.
