Question about 1998 Honda Civic
How do I remove the interior door panel on a rear door of a 1998 Honda Civic? I am trying to get in to look at the linkage/handle mechanism because my outside handle doesn't open the door or do anything at all when I pull it.
You should have some little plugs in the plastic edge on the bottom that can be popped off, that will expose screws, there is maybe one screw behind the door handle, and maybe a couple in the door pull. Then once it is unscrewed, pop off the plastic retainers that hold it the rest of the panel and up it goes, past the lock button and off, except that it is still connected by wires, you should be able to see what's going on behind the handle without taking the wires loose, just lean it up against the door or the car. There is also a plastic wind barrier stuck on there with the stickiest stuff you ever saw, take off your watch. Hope this helps.
