    hey there thank you, i thought this was it, i had a 90 model has some issues with it but it was on the intake manifold itself, i could clean it if it got dirty but this style is different.

    It's a little dark outside but I think I see it. Standing in front of the truck I saw two items coming out of the right side if the manifold. It has two bolts holding it down. I just rad I have to check the pin. If t move freely be careful when cleaning. If if becomes stuck or doesn't move replace it. Looks pretty simple. Thank You ERG SOLVED

    When it get light out I'll do it first thing.
    Problem the stock stereo in mine had ANTI THEFT. As I read it it tells you how to disarm. It also says if I go over 8 time of try to start the Dealer needs to see it.
    Question. Can the devise I was told to read codes able to clear that code if this is the problem. I have a Super Turner in it so I can't clear a code that is displayed on the stock stereo. I have had several batteries replaced since ANTI THEFT shows up.

Jonah I thought you said the ERG was near my distributor in the answer I got. My distributor in the rear of engine compartment where I have to put in my oil sending gauge parts. I'm very confused now. I'm going out to disconnect the ground and can I get an answer with the cleaning of these valves.

I have a 2001 GMC Jimmy 4.3, it surges at low speed but when accelerated runs fine. Any idea what the cause might be?

If EGR comes up, take it off and clean it, see if that clears it up, it may be sticking. Would also clean your throttle body, and replace fuel filter.

I need to know how to install a egr valve in a 05 duramax disel GMC sierra

Once you are able to identify the EGR, you simply unbolt the valve and ant other obstaructing part. Clean its surface of carbon. Repalce the gasket if worn. Any sticky bolt/nut that you encounter could be removed by spraying some WD-40 around them. Also disconnect the negative wire of the battery first. Diesel do run hot, so get ready for some hard bolts to loosen.

Oil pressure sending unit

Hi there;

Your looking foer the oil pressure sensor on the 2004 8.1L.
You will find it located directly behind the EGR valve threaded into the block just to the drivers side of the center bolt for the transmission to block connection.
