if its throwing a code for cam sensor but new sensor does not fix it given the fact of recently replacing the timing chain id say it sounds like the timing was not set correctly which is causing the cam sensor to receive abnormal readings throwing the check engine light on. pull cover and check timing mark placement against specifications

2002 GMC Yukon XL flashing check engine lite

When the service engine soon light (Also called the check engine light) is turned on this is to alert you to the fact that Powertrain Control Module (computer) has detected a failure somewhere in the systems it controls, this can be the transmission or the engine or emission system, there are fault codes set in the modules memory for these faults. What needs to happen now is to have the powertrain control module scanned with a special tool called an OBD2 electronic engine control scanner or a OBD2 code reader. Once the code(s) are read then you must perform the diagnostics for each code and make the appropriate repairs based on the findings of the diagnosis that was performed, this is called doing "Pinpoint" testing.

Check engine light is on and car "jerks" after

First scanned the PCM (computer) to know exactly what fault code is stored there; when check engine light come on, some fault code is there.

With this code number could send additional details to diagnostic and fixed. Keep in touch.

Very low miles 1995 Hyundai ELANTRA 1800 cc 16 dohc. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT frequently comes on. Stop engine, retart after light goes off...sometimes goes for hundred miles and three times new timing belt...

If the timing belt keeps breaking and bending valves, the timing belt and cylinder head repair is not being done correctly. It's as simple as that. Are you changing the tensioner and idler pullies when replacing the belt? Is it timed correctly? Was the timing belt tension adjusted properly? Were the cam journals checked for damage? If not, you are asking for another belt failure.

If you want to know why the check engine light is coming on, you will have to ask your engine computer. Every time the light comes on it is storing a fault code to tell you why. You must scan your engine control module to retrieve the fault code(s) so you can get it properly diagnosed and repaired.

Wont start till relays stop klicking

From what you've described, you have what is called the 'no check engine light problem'. Your check engine light does not come on until those relays stop clicking and that's why it will not start. Your ecu needs to be repaired. Look on ebay for that repair service.

My Starlet EP-82 with 4A-FE engine, the engine check sensor is keep on...but I've checked the engine is running normally...What's going on??

Once the on board computer has found a problem with the engine. It will store the problem in the computers memory as a ( Diagnostic Trouble Code ) and set the check engine Light. The computer will command the check engine light to come on and stay on at this point untill all repairs are made to the Spacific Diagnostic Trouble Codes. It will retract the check engine light to the off possition once the repairs have been made and the repairs were done correctly, and the codes half to be cleared from the computers memory after repairs are finished. Good Luck and have a good XMASS.

Check engine light doesnt go out all belts changed still comes on

what kind of vehicle? what year? cause for about $40. or so, you can goto an auto parts store and get the OBD reader which conects to the computer under the dash in most cars and trucks anything prior to 1986 is OBD 1 anything AFTER SHOULD BE obd2 CHECK THE CODE to see what it tells you is wrong, that way you will know to be able to repair it. this will save you quite a bit of money to do it yourself then to be paying hourly rates to have a mechanic troubleshoot it all day. once you find out what code it is giving you for the check engine light, and get it repaired, you can use the OBD reader to reset the light.
