Question about 2004 Acura TL

1 Answer

My daughter's 2004 TL A.C. comes on for a couple of seconds and then kicks off, fans and all. If the off button is pushed it will do this again. It isn't just the compressor, but the inside fan also stops, and will only come in for a second after turned completely off. Any ideas?

A common solution for this problem is the system may be low on FREON. A simple pressure check at a friendly shop will tell. Good Luck !!!!!!!!!!

Blower Motor will not work when resister is installed.

Check the contact connection on the connector, many times these overheat and melt the surrounding plastic. You may need to replace the connector wire harness.

I have a 2004 grand prix that when i turn the ac on it doesnt always come on. kinda funny but if i smack the dashboard it turns on. any suggestions?

Try kicking the panel under the dash on the pass side, and / or slamming the pass door, if these also work. You need a new blower fan motor. Sounds crazy but, my daughter has one and that's all the same things they did to get it to work before we replaced the fan motor.

2000 Acura TL overheating at low speeds with A/C on

Before ordering or installing fans I would buy and change your Coolant Temperature Senor on top of the engine block. It plugs in to the ECU and tells the fan when to kick the fans on. If that does not work you also have a temperature on the bottom of the radiator, known as your fan switch.

The ac fan comes on but does not stay on cuts off and comes on for no reason

Other than an electrical problem, there are only a few ways this could occur. When the heater control is on the defrost setting your a/c can cycle off & on randomly. Also, some a/c systems are designed to kick-on for a few seconds upon starting to keep the seals lubricated especially during the off season months. If it bothers you that it kicks on, you can unplug the compressor electrical connection & the a/c fan control connector, but, you could suffer the loss of your system if the seals dry out from not being used frequently. good luck

2004 PT Cruiser radiator fan comes on in high speed mode when AND

You can either jump power from the high to low sides, or wire a switchable power wire so it comes on when the ignition turns on. It isn't really computer controlled. A sensor just sends power to it when it needs to run. No fear of hurting anything.

The radio/disc player won't work

In the owners manual booklet there should be a radio code that you have to punch in in order for the radio to work. This is in case your radio gets stolen no one else can use it. When you change the battery or the battery goes dead you have to put this code in for the radio to work again. The radio code may be on a card inside the leather case the owners manual comes in.. This is where mine was.
