Question about 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier
You either have dirty battery cables terminals. Remve them and clean. Or the battery is at the of its life. Remove it and go get it tested. Or you need a starter and it will need to be replaced. Or you have a alternator problem and its draining the battery which will require you to charge the battery or jump start the car and drive it to the shop and get the battery/starter/ and charging system checked,.
If the alternator light is on when you get it running you may of popped a fuse or the alternator failed. Be sure the battery is fully charged if you decide to drive to a shop because you may end up draining the battery and the motor will die.
