Thanks for using FixYa. You’ll need to remove the fuel tank to replace the Fuel Pump for which you’ll need to detach the electrical connection, filter tube and fuel lines. But be careful as the fuel tank might be heavy if it contains a huge quantity of fuel you’ll need to take the help of two other people. After the fuel tank is detached you’ll be able to see the fuel pump plate on the top. Before you start removing the pump please clean the mud or debris. Once the screws are unscrewed you’ll need to loose the stuck rubber sealant to the pump assembly. Now replace the new pump in reverse order as described above. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

No power to fuel pump on a 95 Chevy tahoe

Check fuse and power to the fuel pump relay. If your oil pressure sensor reads too low, it might start but won't stay running. Good luck.

2009 chevy tahoe fuel pump wont shut off

The fuel pump control module is controlled by the ECM - engine control module , Possibility of DTC'S stored ! You need to take to Chevy Dealer !
The engine control module (ECM) supplies voltage to the fuel pump control module (FPCM) when the ECM detects that the ignition is ON. The voltage from the ECM to the FPCM remains active for 2 seconds, unless the engine is in Crank or Run. While this voltage is being received, the FPCM closes the ground switch of the fuel pump and also supplies a varying voltage to the fuel tank pump module in order to maintain the desired fuel rail pressure.

Its a 1999 chevy tahoe. Changed fuel pump twice.

Could be the pressure regulator on the fuel rail. Pull the vacuum line off the regulator and check it for fuel contamination. There should not be gas in the line. If there is fuel in that line the regulator is bad and needs replaced.

My 95 tahoe starts but dont stay on. Fuel wont stay pumping from tbi. Just swapped a motor from 80's camaro. Was running real good in box chevy perfect. Now fuel wont stay flowing out of injectors. Already...

did you install the oil pressure switch origional to the tahoe? The tahoe uses a low oil pressure shutdown, instead of an inertia switch to shut off the fuel pump in the event of an accident. If the pressure circuit does not close within 3 seconds after the engine starts the fuel pump shuts off. This is in case the truck is on its side or upside down the pump will shut off.

95 tahoe lost power while driving now wont start fuel pump is engaging

Is the check engine light on? If so, rent a scanner and read any code(s). Follow the clues to repairs. Does the fuel pump continue to run? It should only run for a short time at key-on, then shut off after building pressure. Likely, new pump time. It wouldn't hurt to install a new fuel filter as well if not already recently replaced.

Fuel injection on 98 Tahoe with 200,000 spits & sputters

I would suggest Installing a New K&N Air Filter and Get 2 Cans of B12 Chemtool and run 1 at a Time througha Full tank of Fuel. The filter will Increase the Air flow by 50% and the B12 will Clean the Entire Fuel System. I use these Both in My 95' Silverado when it does this and always works!
