There is no tranmission dip stick, this is a sealed transmission, the dealer has a special tool that goes into an access plug in transmission case under the car,

I have a 1992 BMW 525 I manual transmission what kind of fluid do I put in the ATF oil only reservoir?

You should be able to use most Automatic Transmission Fluids (ATF), although if you have a manual shift car, then there is no ATF.
Check the fluid level careful if you do have an ATF container, since it is very rare that you would lose fluid from the transmission.

How do u check the tranny fluid on the 05 645 bmw and where?

Can't find it huh? :) Since BMW does not have a dipstick it is a common question to ask how the transmission fluid is checked. The fluid level is checked (and fluid added) via a fill plug on the transmission fluid pan or just above the pan on the transmission body. Try watching this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUgTKWRffKM I hope this helps.

My 94 bmw 325I transmission is slipping and not shifting properly. How can I check the fluid level and add fluid if needed? Thanks Vince M

on the drivers side of the transmission under the car is a plug similar to a rear end in the older rear wheel drive cars bmw has
a lifetime tranny fluid setup so take out the plug and fluid should drip out its right behind the shifter cable if it dosent drip out youll need a pump to put it in you can get these at advance auto

What transmission fluid do i need in my bmw 2003 3

dot 3 or 4. dot 4 is retro changeable with dot 3, but if it has dot 4 don't put dot 3 in it.

It's a GM trans by the way.

Adding transmission fluid to 1992 BMW 525i.

On the driver side of the transmission pan there is a fill plug. The car must be in the air and level. With the car running fluid will run out of the plug hole when it is full. This is no fun without a lift.

Where do I add the transmission fluid on a 2004 bmw 545i and how many liters will it take to fill.

The fill drain plug I believe is on the left side of the transmission about 1in above where the oil pan bolts on. I think it is a 7mm allen bolt.If you are topping off the fluid make sure to check the fluid level at the fill hole while the engine temp is still cold. It should trickle out while the engine is in park and running. Make sure to tighten to spec and use approved oil. There should be a label on the transmission pan itself listing the part number for the fluid to use.

Where do u put transmission fluid in a bmw 740il 2001

Here is the procedure:

The transmission temperature must be between 86° to 130° F (30° to 55° C) before checking With engine running, switch on AC While holding vehicle with brakes, place transmission into each gear briefly With engine running and transmission in park, remove Fill/Check plug. If a small amount of oil runs out, fluid level is correct. If no oil runs out fluid level is low, add fluid as required through Fill/Check plug hole. When level is correct, reinstall Fill/Check plug and tighten to correct torque.
